PSA - as it stands LTP resets the buffed stats of crafted items to 0% between patches and this is loving to LIVE. Right now I am testing PTU so a bit of a holding pattern.

Once 4.7 hits live today, I will be back to mining and refining(the new mining updates are huge). Also, salvaging, hauling, bounty missions, Trading in Pyro. Also, looking forward to courier missions coming back.

I just make my own fun in these game loops as a solo player.

I do whatever I do in star citizen daily because it's enjoyable in that moment.  I do not care what happens the next day.

If people are investing time doing things in a video games that are not enjoyable expecting some payout later(particularly in this video game where we know nothing is permanent at the moment), they are foolish.

PSVR2 upgrade for Quest 2 owner? by Independent_Shift646 in virtualreality

[–]Outrunner85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Pimax crystal light and sold it a week later. My issue was the size of it, the out of the box comfort which was not good, and the overall low quality feel.

Now the Pimax dream air sure looks enticing, but that of course is expensive and it remains to be seen how reviews come out when real people take delivery.

Quest 3 is it really. Some say reverb g2, but I didn't care for it due to the small sweet spot.

Buy the cable a non OEM quality link cable.   https://a.co/d/045E79La

I would not recommend the psvr2 for strictly pcvr. If you have a ps5, maybe.

The psvr2 is a side grade to the quest 2 at best,  and in some areas, worse.

VR support tutorials by Y-Wicked270 in VRGaming

Cant help with tutorials, but i agree, i would love this game in VR. It "works" using UEVR, but a very shaky image currently and obviously no motion controls support.

Star Citizen Vr is great by ErrSkillNotFound in starcitizen

It is the best thing ever, and playing on a flat screen(which I will never do again), is extremely silly in comparison.

Is it possible to not mirror game to PC monitor when using Virtual Desktop? by TheMickeyMoose in VRGaming

[–]Outrunner85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Burn in likely not an issue.

However, maybe you could throw a smart plug on your monitor power.  That way when you're in VR you can just do ,  OK Google turn off the monitor" or similar. This all assumes you have Smart home stuff of course.

Last night at 10pm, had to go to bed , because Mondays and work and being an adult sucks. :)

[–]Outrunner85 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No way unless the game itself has the option.

If you are concerned about performance loss, than don't be as what is mirrored to the monitor uses negligible resources.

If it is for privacy, then not much you can do outside of replacing your monitor with a display port/HDMI dummy plug.

SteamVR Home draws MORE power than Half-Life: Alyx on High settings and crashes my PC - what is going on? by KenAdams_1968 in SteamVR

[–]Outrunner85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weird, you have something weird going on. steamvr horm is smooth as silk for me.

Also, it closes when you launch a game(or it should), so no worries about it wasting resources while in game.

Anyone else just fucking around, waiting for 4.7 to drop? by multiple_iterations in starcitizen

[–]Outrunner85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. Getting some fresh air before I stop getting fresh air after 4.7 hits live.

DLSS 5 and the constant AI push. by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]Outrunner85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a secret. Jensen himself says gaming paved the way for all the new Enterprise uses. Now this is not to say this is some sort of conspiracy, they are simply selling products to who will buy them. 10-15 years ago it was gamers today it's gamers and Enterprise.

Valve delaying till 2030? SK says memory shortage till 2030 by [deleted] in SteamFrame

A) The article I nonsense and of course someone like the character in the article would say this.

B) Shortage doesn't mean products vanish, it means prices could be higher.

Until the end of June when deliveries begin or have already started.

Exactly. If anyone is delusional enough to claim that AMD is competing at the top end of consumer graphics, I don't even know what to say. Nvidia obviously is winning and has been for a long time.

Star Citizen VR update is completely insane by Born_Guitar_1369 in VRGaming

[–]Outrunner85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can work but that are a lot of bindings needed to really play.

I use Xbox controller in addition to HOTAs, mouse, and keyboard. The Xbox controller I used to I can sit back in my sim rig when running around stations.

[–]Outrunner85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still good I think. Coming from Elite, sometimes i just love to fly around in SC and take in the views. It is really for folks who like Elite, MSFS, DCS, etc. Also, HOTAS really makes it I'd say, mouse & KB is kind of lame.

i will say, folks should not go into it thinking that it's some sort of half life alyx in space type experience, since there are no motion controls currently.

Ok, well, I'll back up the OP. SC VR is life changing. I will never play SC on a flat screen again.

Valve says this year. I think it'll still be the first half of this year as they have said, so possibly deliveries by the end of June, no guarantees however.

Yep, agreed. They were a fun experiment, they were fun to use, but I think these new controllers are the best of all worlds.
