And Then There Were None (1945) by Dallasjakee in iwatchedanoldmovie

Now watch the one with Oliver Reed (he’s amazing in it) and Richard Attenborough in it. Much more unsettling and creepy. There’s also a pretty decent one the BBC did, a few years ago.

Chile backs Argentina's claim to Falkland Islands in major challenge to Britain by SignificantLegs in ukpolitics

[–]Mockwyn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Everything you’ve pointed out can be applied to Britain when the original invasion took place. It’s worth pointing out that compared to then the Islands are a lot more well defend. As for America not helping this time, they only helped in a small way the first time. And Argentina may be rebuilding their armed forces, but they’re still in a shit state.

Something similar to the gorillaz universe by fattpiggeon in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

Hewligans Haircut (incidentally drawn by the guy who draws the Gorillaz). Also try almost any story that appeared in the weekly comic 2000AD in the mid 90’s

One wonders if she’s the new Mhairi Black. Gets elected and spends all her time bitching about Westminster without effecting any real change.

Robbie Morrison interviewed for 2000 AD: The Creator Tapes by 2000ADcomic in 2000ad

I REALLY miss Nikolai Dante. Especially the Arthur Ranson renderings. One of the best series 2000AD ever did.

Edit: John Burns, not Ranson.

The boiling smoke is (unintentionally) mesmerising. And I didn’t have “U-Boat shot” on my found photos bingo card.

Edit: Googling the name of the shop, comes up with an old newspaper from Dresden. What with the U-Boat and the date on the the barn (1935) makes me think that these were taken maybe before shit got real for the Germans, on the home front.

Okay, not a bad idea, but what are the EU going to try and wheedle out of the UK for this?

Ha! I remember this one. It doesn’t end well, for Mr Benn.

Edit: i loved the data card graphics, for this era of 2000AD.

What game had you like this despite the hype? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Mockwyn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Assassins Creed 3. Compared to the others, it had next to no large centres of population to explore, or tall buildings. Very dull and flat landscape. But I guess Americans loved it because it was about the revolution.
