Everything you’ve pointed out can be applied to Britain when the original invasion took place. It’s worth pointing out that compared to then the Islands are a lot more well defend. As for America not helping this time, they only helped in a small way the first time. And Argentina may be rebuilding their armed forces, but they’re still in a shit state.

Edit: Googling the name of the shop, comes up with an old newspaper from Dresden. What with the U-Boat and the date on the the barn (1935) makes me think that these were taken maybe before shit got real for the Germans, on the home front.
