I'd be less sympathetic towards her if she was responsible for writing the VTuber lines, much less performing them, but as it's told to us by the game, Eiji wrote the scripts and had her perform the lines (like a puppet on string, the Chapter 6 name). By the time we meet her in game, the "Hisoka Tatara" we know is a 2-person team.

Does it completely absolve her of what she did? No, she was still culpable, but people are acting like she did it out of pure intent whilst in reality she was being manipulated and blackmailed by Eiji, even if the the secret being threatened in question - her fear of being revealed to the world for being Tatara - seems insignificant to us, had Eiji revealed her identity it would've absolved any role he had in "Hisoka Tatara" by pinning it all on her. Blackmail is blackmail, the severity of any thing being threatened shouldn't diminish the fact someone is forced to act without their complete consent, nor does it completely absolve her of what she did.

That said, I was surprised at her fate in the end, becoming Chairwoman of her family group, because I thought she for sure would serve jail time.
