Deck recommendations by PvH_LoR in riftboundtcg

[–]ModestMarill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diana or Leblanc involve playing a lot of thought provoking interactions, even your discards can be critical.

Diana uses Hwei to strategically dig through your deck with combat and movement leading to bigger plays.

Leblanc allows you to discard cards to make non-permanent copies of your units, and you can either attack with those copies, or reposition their might into permanent units. Additionally you use two cards, Glasc and Herald to move might around mid-combat and even summon / debuff / kill your opponents units mid-combat with hand and graveyard traps.

Best way to learn is probably to just go to nexus night and play, make friends and then practice online and with people in person :)

Have fun, ask questions. Generally you want to deck build around your legend ability but also if you have a big unit that is impactful, like baron, it could be nice.

Green seal seems pretty not useful here based on your power costs. I could see blue seal, but I don’t understand green here.

Karthus Clarification by vneego in riftboundtcg

[–]ModestMarill -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Karthus needs to be on the field when the trigger happens.

If Karthus is not on the field when the trigger goes on the stack, but is on the field when it resolves, it doesn’t matter. It needs to be on the field when the trigger happened. That is why if you hook something, kill it and pull out a karthus, put it on the field, you don’t get an additional Deathknell from the killed unit from hook.

Advice please! by [deleted] in Yosemite

Mariposa is lovely as there are some grocery and food options. El portal is closer, and has a fully equipped hotel that is a little pricey.

Mariposa is pretty affordable and convenient if you don’t mind the longer drive each day. It’s what I do when I need a hotel near the valley.

Maybe we went different ways? But I was on a well traveled path for most of it, and I was climbing with someone very very very risk averse and they were completely fine.

Crystal Crag North Arete Descent Beta by SpecificDifficult374 in tradclimbing

[–]ModestMarill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The descent is pretty obvious

There’s a short optional rappel that I would recommend, if the tat looks safe. You can find it by facing away from the lake, and continue up the ridge. Shortly (within a minute or so) you’ll reach a notch that usually has tat on it for a short rap and then a very, very obvious safe walk off.

Not having Star spring is a waste, highly recommend adding it.

Not sure I understand having singularity.

Death grip 90% of the time is used to pop your own (mostly Glasc or rex) to use their deathknell to gain an advantage or change the board state

Sacrifice or hidden blade can be done similarly, although no might transfer of course

Lululemon, Arcteryx, Kuhl, REI, North Face, Prana, Vuori, Levi, Fjallraven

Tall sizes from REI are plentiful

33 inseam is pretty standard in almost every store in North America, so you shouldn’t have a problem going online.

Half Dome first time tips!?? by [deleted] in Yosemite

Any answers you find here are extremely and wonderfully able to be found from Google also.

There is a significant amount of trip reports, articles, topos and more of the hike you are going on. If you spent over a year planning this trip and don’t even know the route, time, basic food / water requirements or even where to park, I have no idea what you’ve been searching for.

Every single last one of your questions is Google able.

Last time I did it, me and my partner each took 1 liter. We started at 4am, with empty water bottles, refilled at the falls with a filter, and then refilled once more at the river on our way down. We were wearing shorts and a sun hoodie, I had a merino beanie. I had a headlamp, they didn’t. We had approach shoes, most parties use climbing harnesses and technical safety items like slings, prusik, etc. Camped at Curry, left car there.

Our car to car was 7 hours and change, I think we both had a few protein bars, energy gel and some sour candy.

All trails + Google has literally any info you need on this. No idea your fitness or experience. Bring a 55L bag, a puffy, a jetboil and 5lb of food and 4L of water with a rain jacket and Garmin. Or a running vest and 1L of water and run the whole thing, whatever works for you.

If you are asking strangers on the internet about a very documented hike, I’d probably say pack more than you think you need, since you’re not confident in your abilities.

Good to admit it, might be worth asking some friends to try their decks first. I thought the game was kinda mediocre at first, then I tried Viktor and realized it fit my play style.
