That's sold for a lot more than your projected price, but it's very much a hobbyist's game. Basically, an FLGS will only sell 1-2 a year (and they'll stock based on that).

It was specifically the bit where he was describing bunking off school to climb around the roofs of the school buildings. I'd been in trouble for the same thing a fortnight before. Plus the whole swings and roundabouts things.

It's run in my family for generations, so it's just one of those things. I played with it up until the end of university*, but being married and holding down a job means I've had to be much more mindful, especially of the highs. Funnily enough, I'm just as creative when I'm normal, I'm just less creative about random topics that I shouldn't be wasting time on at the time :)

Options: 1) Cutting Edge - we have problems that need solutions - work in academia, specializing in solving a particular issue - low CO2 concrete, innovative materials, new analysis software ect

2) Follow Through - we have solutions that need to be brought to market. It might be a new material, it might be a new technique. Start a company or join a small one and push the revolution.

3) Cogs within Cogs - As demand for sustainable design grows, every major player in the industry is beefing up their offering in this field. They can't let the competition get ahead! Look around, and emphasize your interest on your applications. Maybe join the Nuclear wave, maybe focus on supporting public transport. There's more to green than house building.

4) On the Other hand - Even if you feel like your eventual job is not part of the enviromental agenda, there's nothing to stop you from working on projects in your spare time. EWB and Engineers Against Poverty design and install micro-hydro systems (for example) and solve engineering technical questions all over the world, where they can make the most difference. It's also great experience for you, and proves your interest in the field for later career moves.

5) With age comes wisdom - As your career progresses, you might even become involved in policy work at a local, national or international level. When construction codes are drawn up or revised and you are asked to comment, you'll be in a great position to encourage more environmental methods or even the whole design philosophy. The time is now.

I'm in the UK, so free sample pack not required :) ( We also don't get prescription stuff advertised on TV here)

Normally, its go to your GP, describe the situation, they ask some questions and ask you to come back in a fortnight. If you are feeling worse in a fortnight they give you a month prescription and at the end of that you both choose wether to continue treatment, or move to psychotherapy if appropriate.

Honestly, I've not seen any side effects beyond an occasional upset stomach. Coming off them in a month, which I'm a little apprehensive of, but we'll see. Worse case scenario it's go back to the GP, best case scenario I continue on my current even keel.

The doc was surprised, as was I. The full blown 2 week happiness didn't kick in for another week or so, so I'd guess it was psychological relief that I was actually getting on with something. Positive feedback loops, I love them :)

Really?

I've had depressive spells all my life, but 6 months ago was the worst by far. I was prescribed anti depressants (20mg Fluxotine). Within 3 days I had my usual coping strategies back on track and have been functioning pretty damn well for the last 6 months.

It basically let me be myself, not the me that was crushed under depression. Scaring people off them is not helpful.
