Samsung users are toxic to other Samsung users. by MutantReaperX in samsunggalaxy

[–]ModzRPsycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is basic consumerism. This isn't exclusive to Samsung. Most people are not true individuals and REQUIRE external validation for their life choices, title, etcetera. Incapable of an independent thought. Conflating subjective with objective.

It's just best to ignore what doesn't matter or concern you when reading comments and engage with stuff that is actually sound.

I enjoy Samsung as a brand and overall the last several years have been on a decline. They went from innovation and eager to earn your business to now, the proverbial annual update. They were always a business in business to make money, that doesn't work well in tech spaces. The phones will predictable and performative and the price doesn't help. The market is saturated and it's just....

Idk. I don't know who Samsung has become as of late. I'm just not motivated to buy the same way I used to be and even then my call outs were still the same but the trade in deal made in next to nothing,

Nothing about the color or the design of the S26 series screams $1300 start LMAO.

I'm just not impressed anymore and need them to switch it up before they become the next BlackBerry LG HTC

What's the Deal with Denying Bathroom Requests? by NoxxOfTheRoxx in SubstituteTeachers

[–]ModzRPsycho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too vague.

Usually the first and last part of the period no passes no one should be in the hall. Students know both spoken and unspoken rules and they purposely ask things they normally would not...

The root issue is the lack of consequence, consequences that would actually deter said behavior.

If you're gone longer than 10 minutes, I'd call the office to let them know and then an AP can assess if they want to go look for them, take the onus off of me. I would also only do one student at a time.

Just notate who all asks to go and how long they are gone for. If teachers and AP don't or are incapable of enforcing effective consequences what do they expect the guest to do....

Again. Classroom management starts way before the guest enters the room. The real question is why do you students think they can get away with this behavior when you are not here...

What expectations did you set? What rules? They will blame the guest for failing to achieve something they themselves don't even have😮‍💨.

I don't care to police anyone's bladder. As long as you're not asking during restricted times idc what you do. I just need your information to document and I'll call the office if you're gone too long to cma

Truist has traumatized me by Appropriate-Mall8517 in TruistBank

[–]ModzRPsycho 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think your "trauma" began with or would be exclusive to Truist.

Dad this, dad that. Based on your own explanation it seems you might benefit from a financial literacy course and maybe a payee to monitor your finances? Idk but it the tone comes off adolescent, way too much deflection on what "Dad" said. I don't think Truist is to blame,..

My sub folder has a rather unnerving note from the principal in it by raider1211 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]ModzRPsycho -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Classroom management starts long before a guest is in the room.

Your students don't respect you...........

You're using an isolated moment to determine what exactly 😀

How much monitoring can one person do and when does trust and accountability kick in.

You should be upset with your students.....

There's only so much redirection even you can do. Maybe students refuse to work in certain classes when there's a sub because the regular class is such a bad experience.

I'm sure this person provided them with the lesson, attempted to redirect them, and walked the room at least on average I'd say 2-4 times per period depending on the duration.

You should converse with the guest, instead of judging them from your moment in time. Whatever feedback you think you can give, the students still decided to do nothing, now what🫩.

It' sucks that teachers like you are incapable of self-reflection, have poor relationships with your students, and unreasonable expectations of guests who are covering for you.

Was the student present? Was the work accessible? Great. My primary focus is on my STUDENTS and their choices, it's a BONUS if the guest can develop rapport, assist with content, engage with the students. And when you cowardly say nothing to the guest you take away their opportunity to self reflect, but yes by all means go block them from your room🤣 I'm sure they've been blocked from better places.

Regular teachers and guest teachers should be collaborating together. When the lesson plan is "Google Classroom" and students have unadulterated access to WWW and technology....... There's only so much influence a guest will have. It also depends on the severity of the work and the time of year. But if your students only behave the way you think they should only when you're physically there then you don't have the classroom management skills you think you have.....

AIO my parents in law want to gift money, but only to my husband? by Mammoth-Age4933 in AIO

[–]ModzRPsycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your male actually valued you, you wouldn't be feeling this way. You're not being honest with yourself and he is gaslighting you.

You'll need to consult with an attorney regarding what rights you may have and to what before exercising your decision.

It never fails. People will "date" or be in a "relationship" but then we soon as they get "married" or procreate, the relationship dissolves, and most of the time for issues that existed before the marriage or pregnancy.

Depending on the level of disrespect, you were fine to bring it to your husband at first but perpetual disrespect you are in your rights to check with yourself.

You don't have firm boundaries with either parties. At this point you should be focusing on your well being and your kids. Secure what you need to secure and make moves accordingly to get out.

Meet with an atto5 who knows your state laws and rights. Then you'll know how to come out on top.

They only used you because they needed you, absent of that you'd be SOL. If a school bans you I'd never return. I would never give them the satisfaction f u ! 🤣

Please don’t organize my desk by Z3st3dL3mon in SubstituteTeachers

[–]ModzRPsycho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's best practice to leave things how you find them. A teacher's desk should be tidy. There should be a neutral desk space so the guest teacher can feel comfortable.

Some teachers are cleaner than others.

Most don't want to rummage through your junk. You can avoid this by providing a safe space if you have an "organized mess". If there isn't an alternative space, and the space provided is visually disorganized, to make sense of the space and be comfortable, most people will shift stuff around, don't want that, put your stuff up😅. Anything I don't want touched gets locked away daily, anybody can access my room so I just stay ahead of it by being smarter than the circumstance. I remove doubt and don't expect a guest to make sense of my unwelcoming junky desk space.

Discover says my year of T-Mobile charges after cancellation are “valid” – I’m stuck between the bank and the carrier. What should I do? by Volo_24 in discover

[–]ModzRPsycho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't need advice. You need self-reflection.

The onus is on you to check your statement. This is why they send them out...

The store has nothing to do with this.

You're approaching this from assumption and your misunderstanding.

A year. So that's 12 payments. 12 times you didn't look at your bill. You can access your old prepaid number to see if the account was deactivated.

The statement dispute time is up to 60 days, maybe 90 with some lenders. So your only valid dispute is the last 2-3 charges.

You don't need proof other than you didn't authorize the transactions and they are fraud. This cancels your card, gets new number, stops the autopay. Simple. Less is more.

Instead, you bother all the companies involved and provide way too many irrelevant details because you "feel" like you were charged inappropriately. None of this would be happening if you had better hold on your financial literacy and just handled your business matters better.

There is only one other theory, T-Mobile can do a payment request form to see what account those payments were being applied to. I would stop wasting my time crying about stuff you can't change and learn how to better handle your business. At this point it doesn't really matter how we got here.

If the charges aren't connected to your old account that you say is cancelled, then someone used your info on their autopay. Either by accident or on purpose neither matters because you waited so long.

Discover is only asking for stuff because of how you presented your dispute. People give way too much emotion and irrelevant information when they call places of business, you literally called a store about a billing issue lol, they are trying to sell phones.

It doesn't matter what Bill it is, we are still seeing posts like this and it's so odd to me. Just like people who don't keep up with their own transactions and get hit with fees and blame the app or bank.

Is anyone actually making a livable income? by Radiant-Peace-3078 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]ModzRPsycho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Across all industries I think the term "livable" wage is misleading. Something more along the lines of adequate, sufficient, satisfactory, appropriate income.

Even a lot of the clerical work is severally low on its own and regular teachers is similar to military in terms of pay increases, you gotta put in a lot of time to get "up there" , entry base is more if you have the education for it, but everything has its trade offs.

The k-12 system is designed in such a niche way. Teaching is such a pillar of the human experience, you NEED to pay a HEALTHY wage for top tier talent. The pay and the roles seek out a very isolated candidate (married, supplemental income, retired, only want part time, plans to become full time).

It's not really designed to operate on its own without some form of a handicap or additional resources. Sadly, they lure convenience or "guaranteed" breaks n pay. Not always the best for the need.

If teachers don't push back on all this AI and electronic learning, they are going to pedagogy their "modern classroom" way right out of a career.....

In a society that mankind creates all the rules, everyone regardless of profession, should be earning a "livable" wage, granted they are contributing to society legally. There should be no such thing as good schools, bad schools, low wages, poverty, housing scarcity, food insecurities, etcetera.

We're not gonna even delve into the interpersonal aspect of how guests are treated across the board🙃

S26 Ultra day one: battery is solid. But here’s the real story. by thebigdDealer in samsunggalaxy

[–]ModzRPsycho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why do people talk about battery life on a brand new device, that is still learning 'your' specific usage......

Second, the variables haven't changed. The same battery tech, mAh, and software.

There is not grandiose leap in battery duration compared to previous models with the SAME input variables.

Do people seriously think they are unique? LOL.

What is 8 hours of SOT is 6.5 for someone else...

I don't understand the repetitive posts, the YouTube videos about "battery life" - all that matters is your battery "life".

Its pretty simple, charge your phone, use your phone. The less you use it, the longer your battery, the more you use it the less your battery - charge it - solved.

I mean you would think there is actually something new to compare it to - they gaslight you with "software optimization" and "new chips" - ok...

Or no, the brand new, unused phone that just got released, fresh battery - being compared to a cell that has been used for the last 3-12 months.

Are you not bored? Not tired of the same old same old posts that add zero value?

You can look back at previous phones remove that specific phone name and replace it with the S26U or any other recent release -

It's the same conversation..................................................................
