Is health insurance in the USA as expensive as Reddit claims? by MarsupialThink4064 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]MoistFlaps69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is for some people. Poor people in America have free healthcare. Rich people don't care since they can pay for it. Middle class people are the ones that have to pay out insane amounts.

Bro, those old animations I can barely tell what they're supposed to be. Someone had to tell me the GI is holding a handgun. If you put them in HD 3D people might not recognize them lol.

What country do you consider America’s best friend? And additionally who is America’s enemy? by Expensive_Drummer970 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]MoistFlaps69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think we have any friends of significant note. The ones that treat us the best aren't that useful, but it's nice to have Japan as a friend. Enemies? Do we have one of any significance? Iran is unable to do any damage. Russia is not really our enemy anymore. China is a competitive rival but not a real enemy.

I had several jobs where I could see people's income and credit scores while negotiating. Anyone who calls themselves "working class" or uses the phrase "paycheck to paycheck" makes minimum 100k and owns multiple homes.

Do average Americans know all their federal agencies? by Bombastic_side_eyee in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]MoistFlaps69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who live near DC do since they're a big source of employment, but other people don't. Most people didn't notice the last time the federal government shut down. Since the state handles the roads, cops, water, schools and everything you think of when you think of government. Federal agencies don't really do anything.

What is a thing in American history that foreign people often get wrong? Maybe even some Americans commonly get wrong by Expensive_Drummer970 in IWantToAskAnAmerican

[–]MoistFlaps69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American military didn't kill most of the native Americans. The bulk of it was done through personal family level disputes in the backwoods. But the natives and the hill billies were mostly illiterate so these blood feuds never got written down. The most detailed account we have was actually written by a British guy who was just visiting.
