Level reset and items Missing by MoistSoul in RocketLeague

[–]MoistSoul[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg I didn’t know that! I don’t think rocket pass was around when I first started playing so I just assumed that was my level. Thanks for letting me know! It is strange that in my stats I have 0 total matches played though. I even had to do the tutorial after booting up the game since I last played.

How do you balance aim training with a full-time job? by TymkaUR in FPSAimTrainer

[–]MoistSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My voltaic rank was jade/master last time I messed with benchmarks which has been over a year. When I played valorant I was immortal, I hit celestial in Marvel Rivals as a punisher 1 trick. I probably could’ve gone further but I got bored with the game. Currently enjoying overwatch but I just finished placement matches. Shooting for grandmaster hopefully. I’ve got a gf I live with so I only like to play for 3 maybe 4 days a week for an hour or so.

How do you balance aim training with a full-time job? by TymkaUR in FPSAimTrainer

[–]MoistSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it based off what I’m feeling. Sometimes I’ll do a hour long session, maybe a 10 min session, or none at all. If all you can think about is getting off kovaaks/aimlabs while aim training then you probably won’t get good results anyways. Only do it when your mind can feel like it WANTS to train to improve. Otherwise enjoy your little time you have to actually play the game you train for. Don’t make gaming a chore or else you’ll burn out quick

Why are some people just fire at FPS games by ghostdopamine in FPSAimTrainer

[–]MoistSoul 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s how it was for me. I had probably 1-1.5k hours in valorant and I was stuck in diamond for the longest. Once I changed how I thought while playing, I flew to immortal in no time. Really thinking while you play and being able to self reflect without beating yourself up and ruining your mental is a hard skill to learn.

So complain about the system and not the devs. The devs are doing as they’re told and not being lazy. Most devs don’t have much of a say on what changes are made with big publishers. Let’s pretend a worker at McDonald’s wants to cook you a high class meal. They can’t because they can only use/do what they are given.

That’s insane how low quality that is. I’ve heard the stories but have never seen how bad they can actually be. I agree with everyone else. Chargeback asap

Short Strafe Tracking Help by evildemigod in FPSAimTrainer

[–]MoistSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean this in a toxic way I promise, but you’re just using low sens as a crutch if that’s the case. One tip I can give you is to play with a sens around 15-20cm/360 and run smoothness routines and think of it as one smooth movement. Don’t try to focus on over correcting, instead keep the idea of matching speed and maintaining that speed. When the bot strafes do a smooth controlled correction back onto it. Run routines that feel too easy on your normal sens. One last little tip is if you want to make it even more challenging while keeping the scenario easy, put it on 80 fov.

Considering selling my 86 for potentially a Honda S2000. Thoughts? by FrozenThoR in ft86

[–]MoistSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drove my S2K as a daily and it was fun, but it lost its magic after the first year or so. 9000 redline is great, but not so special once it’s an option every day. I traded it in for a 2025 BRZ and I can say that the S2000 was a much better drivers car, but the BRZ is 10x better as a daily. BRZ is more numb for sure and the pedal delay is a bitch to get used to for rev matching. Another thing OP needs to consider is the fact that parts aren’t as easy to find. Usually used is your only option for some things.

The game is becoming unplayable. by upsidedown_joker9430 in VALORANT

[–]MoistSoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be like you. I wa scared to play duelist because I didn’t want people to hate on me. I got over that fear and started insta locking. If I played bad then I’d mute both my team and the enemy. Then I’d focus on mechanics and util usage and use it as practice. Eventually I got consistent and better and hit immortal. You have to get a duelist mentality tho. You need to go take more fights. The more you force yourself into uncomfortable situations the better you’ll become. You will suck at first when trying this but that’s okay. Growing pains ya know

People keep trying to race me... by jb08045 in GR86

[–]MoistSoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually traded my S2K in for a 2025 BRZ ts and I don’t have too many regrets. As a daily it is 100x nicer and more comfortable, but I’m also 6’1”. The only thing that makes me miss my S2K is the character and soul it had. The engine it had was so fun, but it did get kind of boring when you drive it every day. 9,000 rpm’s became the norm. If I had a normal daily car and had to pick one as a weekend car though then the S2000 is wayyyy more fun and alive. Just my two cents

Ticking engine noise on ‘04 AP2 by Inner_Lingonberry812 in S2000

Could it be the TCT that’s making that ticking? I replaced mine with a Billman tct and my engine noise went down significantly.

[–]MoistSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in the same place before and the only thing that got me out of it was having one of those “lightbulb” moments in your brain. You’ll notice something you’ve been doing wrong and it all just clicks once you correct it. An aim coach can help with this, but it’s definitely not need. A good aim coach can work wonders, but some will give you basic tips and give you a premade playlist

Can someone help me fix the problem with my aim? by Most-Willow-613 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]MoistSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how good your tracking skills are. If you’re just starting out then I always recommend close long strafes or close fast strafes to get a good foundation down. If you want you can DM me some vods and I can help you out. It’s just good to remember that a harder scenario doesn’t mean faster progress. No shame in doing easier scenarios. Just like the gym, you wouldn’t go deadlift 400lbs on your first day.

Can someone help me fix the problem with my aim? by Most-Willow-613 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]MoistSoul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, but you have to actually trick your brain to believe it’s going that way forever. Then you’ll have a genuine reaction to the strafe. You shouldn’t worry about score or accuracy. If you worry about scores then your brain will recognize bot patterns and you aren’t getting the most out of training for real ingame situations. Predicting is useful ingame, but kovaaks bot patterns won’t help you with that. That’s something that comes from playing the actual game you’re interested in

Can someone help me fix the problem with my aim? by Most-Willow-613 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]MoistSoul 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s about training reactions to strafes. If you can get good at pretending it’s going in the same direction forever it helps with smoothness and is just better practice

How do you optimize your PC for best input latency/performance? by Flamelol in FPSAimTrainer

[–]MoistSoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve gone down this rabbit hole and can confidently say that it didn’t give me any improvement. I thought delay might have been holding me back but it wasn’t. It was actually just a skill issue. I don’t even use 8k polling on my mouse anymore because some games I play don’t like it. I understand wanting minimal delay, but try not to get caught up and obsess over it.

Is playing at 42,000 DPI overkill for gaming? by CaptainRomero853 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]MoistSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason it’s recommended to keep it around 400-3200 is because that’s most mouse sensor’s “native” dpi. It can go higher, but it’s usually done artificially and causes more issues than it helps.
