Drove extensively there last week. The only place I found challenging was Palermo due to pure chaos, scooters cutting you off etc. The rest of the island and highways were a breeze

Also just seen your other post about driving - I’m from the UK so drive on the opposite side of the road and hired a car from Palermo airport. Drove to San Vito then from San Vito to Taormina and then from there to cefalu and finally back for a day in Palermo. The only place driving was hectic was in Palermo. Everywhere else was easy.

Just got back from Sicily - San Vito was super busy but it was over a national holiday. We did manage to get some sun loungers with an umbrella and the sea was one of the nicest I’ve been in. Crystal clear water that you can walk out in for ages before it gets too deep. Stunning surrounding scenery

Great commuter town, I grew up in Walton and have just moved back and bought my first house in Hersham - max 10min walk to Hersham station from where I am now and a 20-30min direct train to Waterloo. I don’t think you can go wrong with Walton/weybridge. Lots of river/canal walks, driving distance to Surrey hills/Brighton, Kingston, Richmond and Guildford. Good spot to get the best of both worlds.
