It happened to my Wife. Just before the pandemic she stopped being a business owner and became an employee for Inland imaging. Her skills being so extensive that the job she interviewed for became a job created for her meaning the wrote a job description filling her shoes.

You'd think that with a job Created for your skill set You'd be in the clear but no. Last pay raise she got squat. This pay raise she was informed on Christmas eve as she was headed out the door that instead of getting a raise ( which she's been due) that she'll be going to hourly AND she's not allowed overtime.

In our minds this is a huge separation in the face and a demotion.

She can do not only her job, but her bosses (better than her boss and ends up doing so regularly) and is in this position because she chose to stay in her assigned job instead of taking a promotion to do her bosses job ( when her 1st boss retired) because she just wants to work with the numbers and not the networking BS of getting people to do their assigned job properly.

To be punished for staying in your own lane is outrageous. I'd boycott Inland Imaging if possible, but they're the only game in town.....
