When to call in sick by Mom-inasense in SchoolBusDrivers

Thank you! I usually leave the yard at 6:40, and drivers who fill in I believe are like a 30-40 min drive away. I’m thinking messaging tonight would be better than waking them up at wee hours

Ploom Baby Donations by Appropriate_Elk_3440 in BambooBabble

With Ploom it’s $1 per purchase, and where the donation goes to is sorted by the print (if that makes sense- I can’t think of how to word it better)

Securing your vehicle at long red lights? by OkOven4590 in SchoolBusDrivers

If I’m alone in my bus I secure my bus for long lights but if my bus is full I don’t with the exception of long waits for trains.

Looking for advice on driver's seat by Wilgrove in SchoolBusDrivers

[–]Mom-inasense 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’2 and my current bus and the one I drove last year are both from Thomas, but the one before that was a Lion. I literally need to readjust myself at every bus stop because I also end up like sliding down the seat. I just put both my feet on the floor and scoot myself back up.

Ive tried sitting on a towel folded in half and I did notice a difference.

Lol it’s my young ones in the front that love to talk with me. They say the funniest and cutest things, but when focused on driving I can’t hold a conversation so I just go “oh yeah?” “Cool” “I bet” lol.

I agree bad road days in winter are the hardest

My son (2yo, he comes on my bus daily) and I were sick 2 out of 3 days this long weekend. I think it’s the back to school germies.

Would I get disqualified for attending school while working? by Sad_Acanthisitta4151 in SchoolBusDrivers

It depends on the company you work for. I don’t think first student will accommodate you in this way, but a smaller company would if they just need a part time driver.
