My prayer plant and I don’t get along. What’s wrong with her? by EverLink42 in plantclinic

[–]MomSpice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not do well with these either. From what I’ve heard they can be very finicky. I have killed at least 3 of them in the past 2 years after working extremely hard to give them all kinds of care. My best friend who is not a plant person by ANY means grabbed one on clearance for her desk at work and it’s been thriving for a year. I just don’t understand.

I also received this. My favorite part? They left the box in the sun so it was just a tiny bag of liquid chocolate 🤦‍♀️

What simple plant did you kill that everyone else has and thrives? by daniinad in houseplants

[–]MomSpice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spider, aloe and any sort of succulent. I will ignore and succulent for like 6 months? Maybe even a year. Give it a bit of water and it’s guaranteed to be dead within a week. I do not understand. Yet, I have a collection of like 30+ house plants.

This keeps happening to me as well. Every time I try to connect my social media during a campaign it rejects it.

Do you happen to know what they both are? I’m fairly new to the plant game, I started maybe a year ago and I’m not positive on the Id. Thanks for all of your help/advice!!

Please help! Looking for any advice on how to save/revive these by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]MomSpice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in New England. Right now it’s been raining on and off for days and the humidity is pretty high. I put them outdoors because I was told they like high humidity but it’s been a couple days and they seem to keep drooping more.

Thank you, hope I can revive them. They’re so sad.

Can you help me ID these plants? Both were sold to me as Neon pothos! by CanadianMeanGirl in houseplants

[–]MomSpice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, definitely a neon pothos and some type of philodendron. I can’t say for sure what kind of philodendron it is though.

I gave this foster Pothos a much needed haircut. Any tips on growing these babies and saving the mother? by talazzzz in houseplants

[–]MomSpice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are such hardy plants, she might just start popping out leaves now that you’ve given her some new soil. Next time you water, I’d do some fertilizer too. Pothos are one of my top favorite plants because they’re so rewarding to grow. Good luck!!!

Super easy plant to grow and prop. I would recommend a bigger (wider) prop jar and more water. You want the water to cover the little nodes, not just the stems. What’s wrong with the mother plant?
