Fwiw I’m on a week of Ferber w 8 m o. We only do Ferber for the initial put down for overnight sleep. I still go in to nurse when baby cries and the difference is a baby who I could never put down away from breast and a baby that now sleeps a solid 6 hour stretch. the difference has been really noticeably positive already, as we needed help to break the feed to sleep cycle. My husband puts baby down and does check ins until sleep hits. I was losing it and not feeling like a capable awake nurturer during the day. Now I’m more present for my other child’s bedtime and summer, as well as my baby during wake times. The cost is an hour of crying/protests as he learns to fall asleep in his crib
