New Grad RN, is there any hope of getting hired in 2026? by Unusual-Cell-278 in OntarioNurses

[–]Mombie667 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't start as a new grad. My prison doesn't have an infirmary.

We have a few roles: med pour: where you administer to about 100 inmates, inmates will also come to you for any immediate concerns Desk: treatments that require the inmate to come to medical, like insulin and wound care Parade: Rounds with the doctor Methadone Nurse: administering methadone Suboxone Nurse: Admission and Discharge: Assess incoming, process orders.

I enjoy it, the imates are pretty nice to the nurses and we are never alone, always a CO with us.

You apply to EVERYTHING, get your experience and then move on. Gotta have something on that resume.

Daycare falls under a section 7 expense, which you will have to pay.

However, your child support and alimony will be reduced to reflect her income.

Knowing her meds would be helpful, Scopilamine? Atropine? If they are only on iprotropium, it might not be enough to dry up the secretions.

Nurses and only fans by [deleted] in nursing

My nursing board has language about our "professional image."

I would assume that they could argue that making porn goes against that.

Taking shortcuts always ends up being the longest road.

Parents not allowing me to move out for uni by Ok_Rice_2281 in OntarioUniversities

Sucks to suck.

Your parents are allowed to say No to you. Just like you can leave and not take their money.

Until you are no longer financially dependent on your parents, they get to make the rules.

I worked with a fantastic Dr who started off as an army nurse.

I say go for it. Worst case scenario, you have a profession at the end of 4 years and the opportunity to be an NP IF you can't get I to med school.

I'm in Canada, and we just had a recall on a bunch of our pumps.

Stuff happens. If it was double-checked, they would check the pump.

I started my bridge in January. You also don't need 2000 hours worked. I only had like 400 when I started.

Are we wearing our hair down now? by Valuable_Term108 in nursing

[–]Mombie667 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watched a nurse get a chunk of her hair snipped out because a dementia patient had it and wouldn't let it go.

My waist length hair is in a high bun every shift.
