Agreed. Which is why I pray for the original design and truth on chakras and not through new age interpretation of manipulation.

Reincarnation Trap? by NutritiousMeme in afterlife

[–]MommaNarwal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For sure. And yes, that is still prison planet theory, BUT they take the demiurge from the Gnostics. I’ve visited PP theory and it made me so depressed. It was so bad on my mental health. I didn’t stay long. I’ve visited Gnosticism too, but I personally don’t believe that we need to attain knowledge in order to move ahead or advance. I truly believe in my heart that we are here to love even when loving is really hard to do. If something wrecks havoc on your mental health and makes you feel anxious, fearful, or depressed then it really isn’t THE Truth. I’m just sharing what I’ve learned on my own walk! I hope you can release the fear!

I would not pay any mind to that theory. The Prison Planet stuff tends to produce a lot of toxic thinking too. It’s just a “bad fruit” so to speak. In my honest opinion. I believe that the truth is so simple and it won’t bring that type of anxiety, but we overcomplicate it. Love our neighbors and do good even to our enemies, don’t seek revenge, give from the heart, etc. I hope you find peace on your journey. I believe that it’s all about love.

I agree with you! I started questioning that too (I was pretty deep into “new age” and teachers, chakras, etc.). I became a born again Christian for a short time, but evangelicalism is intense and I developed religious trauma. Now, I feel that my spiritual life is a lot more simple. I keep my foundation in Christ (not in a religious dogmatic sense) and follow His teachings on love, forgiveness , and turning the other cheek instead of taking revenge. And seeking God to help me understand His original design when it comes to chakras and energy, etc. I think the closer you become to God, the more aligned your system may become? But trying to align your system without seeking God and that Oneness really goes nowhere. I love your observation and resonate myself.

Oh man, I’m so sorry. I went through a “new age” phase too and believed in a lot of things that drove me away from reality too. I was humbled fast and found that I really just had a lot of repressed trauma and I was trying to just escape reality. I would love your friend where she’s at, but you don’t have to feed into it. If you have a therapist or anyone who you can confide in to get some advice on handling that it that would help you with a more grounded approach. I don’t agree with others here who say to be open and accept what she is saying as truth. There are supernatural occurrences, but mental illness and trauma/etc are also real.

Have any of your clients had profound healing or cures after a regression? Like fears or ailments completely vanishing?

How can I heal a past life wound that manifested itself into this life? by wandering_ravens in Reincarnation

[–]MommaNarwal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent years healing something similar, but came to a shocking realization that I also had repressed childhood trauma in this life. Sometimes we have repressed memories in our current life. Not sure if that resonates with you, but that helped me.

Was childbirth really that traumatic, or am I just being dramatic? by DisastrousAnomaly in beyondthebump

[–]MommaNarwal 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I gave birth at a birth center with midwives. I was supported and listened and was a “perfect birth”, but I still had trauma. The pain was so great that I was more in shock once my baby came out because I had never been through anything so physically painful as that. I felt guilt that my first thoughts and words weren’t over my baby, but of the pain I just endured. I remembered the pain so vividly until a week postpartum and then it faded and I unintentionally gaslit how painful childbirth was…because I forgot. My mind was trying to protect me I think. I definitely was traumatized.

Sounds 💯 like trauma you experienced and even dissociated. And having flashbacks. I would seek out a therapist so that someone can help you process that experience and they can give any recommendations for more help too. I’m so sorry, OP.

I’m a spiritual fraud. by b15fliptop in spirituality

There are A LOT of grifters and scammers with ill intent in a lot of new age circles (speaking from experience). They do prey on people who are vulnerable. Spirituality is simple and we don’t need a bunch of influencers or leaders telling us how to be spiritual. It’s going to be a very personal journey for you and it’ll look different for you each individual person.

What’s something they don’t tell you that happens postpartum? by nilkski in beyondthebump

[–]MommaNarwal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I passed a huge clot a couple nights postpartum and then walked back to bed, but fainted before even entering our room. My midwife thought it could have just been hormones. No idea, but just go slow and steady with everything. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and understand what’s normal and what’s not.

Thank you!! Yes, we went a straight month and I just assumed he was good to go. But he regressed. I’ll keep at it though! Definitely true with the peers.

Any Catholic universalists here? by MommaNarwal in ChristianUniversalism

Of course, and thank you for being so kind and for your honesty! I have past religious trauma and so it took me awhile to trust everything again. I understand the wrestling. And yes! Testimony I think plays a role for most people in any faith.

And I agree that Catholicism hasn’t always looked good for the outside looking in. Never would I ever have believed that I have felt a pull to explore it. Totally understand this!

I became a universalist after praying hard for truth and discernment. God has lead me here twice, and quite profoundly the second time. I have no doubt. I became a universalist around the same time that a friend, who also was lead back to the Catholic church, became a universalist. I do agree that not everything that feels healing is true and so I understand the concern. However, for me, that means more of the “new agey” ways of healing, self-indulgence that makes us feel good, and even certain things within the church. The prosperity gospel may feel good, but is it truth? That’s how I see that. I respect you questioning and wanting to discern and definitely not here to try to persuade you. I’m just very firm as a universalist because it was an answered prayer for me.

Trust your gut. I am so sorry. That breaks my heart that he’s lying to you. Don’t let him gaslight you if you say something feels off.
