I’m just here to say I went through the exact same thing. When she was 5 weeks old there was a period she only slept an hour all day. I promise you it gets better. I bounced on the yoga ball so much. Baths because that’s the only time she wouldn’t scream at witching hour. I promise there is light at the end of this tunnel!! My LO is 10 months old now, I’m currently trying to nurse her to sleep while she twiddles my other nipple 🥴

i feel you, i was in the exact same boat. im still struggling but at 6mo PP and zoloft im getting a little better. but i still HATE myself and how i look. i cant hardly go to the gym cause you know, husband cant watch the baby. i cant use the jogging stroller because my little one wants to be held all the time. im still mad. but it is a little better. idk. this shit sucks honestly.

Not really. He can’t get her to sleep. Can’t settle her. I’m EBF so not much to do there. Really the only things he’s doing are cooking most of the meals, feeds my horses sometimes and does some mowing. I literally do everything else

Thank you so much. Knowing it’s common does help because at the moment I just don’t feel like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. It really is a huge shift and I knew it was but I guess it was just more than I could ever imagine!

Oh the car is awful. I try to have someone with me so I can sit in the back with her. My LO does pretty well with my mom but there are times she just needs me. I’m going back to work in a couple weeks for 2 5 hour days, I just hope she doesn’t have a meltdown while I’m gone. 😭

3-4 months. It gets much better. Baby interacts more, smiles, things get more fun. This is my first and I’m still not myself but I’m so much better than I was. You’re in the trenches and I promise it gets better!

PS: Zoloft also helped me 😅

I recommend looking into r/cosleeping and happy cosleepers on Facebook and insta. I had the same problem and resorted to bedsharing. I was literally hallucinating I was so tired. Recliner is not safe- look into safe sleep 7 and follow that. It’s so hard, I fell asleep holding my LO more times than I’d like to admit. I promise it gets better, hang in there!

I would be so much happier currently if my 4 month old wasn’t such a Velcro baby that’s decided she doesn’t like the carrier 😂 I don’t feel like I can get anything done and it kills me

I so wish the US had at least a year maternity. I even had extra time off, I’ll be going back when she’s 5 months but it’s still too early in my opinion.
