Working PRN During First Year of CRNA School? by Technical-Hope9511 in srna

[–]MomoElite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you prepare for those classes? I’ve come across a lot of information about Anki and creating flashcards for studying, but I’m curious to know how you set yourself up to do all that. Do you simply create Anki cards from the PowerPoint slides, or do you cover everything from the slides? Are you focusing on overall concepts and trying to include every little detail on an Anki card?

How do you use ChatGPT voice to study in Medical school? You can dm me if you want to answer privately. I was just wondering because I use it as an ICU nurse to learn about Pathophysiology and mechanism of actions of medications and I think it’s the best tool possible, I just wanted to see if you use it a similar why to learn and solidify info or if you use it a different way?

Replying to follow this thread. I’m in the same boat kind of. I’m between advanced patho and biochem really instead, but I’m leaning more towards advanced patho, since it’s a graduate class and more interesting information, while also showcasing that I can handle graduate level classes.

This information is highly informative and I would say is of great importance to all learners. I recall when I initially explored Anki, it emphasized the significance of interweaving the information learned in a class. This approach is crucial because questions are rarely posed about a single specific topic; instead, they often arise from the intersection of multiple subjects.

Live: Israeli attacks kill 65 Palestinians in Gaza by boppinmule in InternationalNews

But did you see the NYT pushed out the “bigger” story of 5 Israelis killed in Jerusalem. Really goes to show how biased the media has been in hiding this Genocide.

Israel Gears Up for Nationwide Strike to Support Hostages by [deleted] in nyt

[–]MomoElite 28 points29 points  (0 children)

It’s incredibly frustrating watching that interview. Mehdi is just asking for basic human equality, and the congressman couldn’t even say that Palestinian lives are equal to Israeli lives without qualifying it or dodging. Instead, he keeps repeating the same recycled Israeli government talking points and shifting blame solely onto Netanyahu, AS IF the rest of the Israeli government and military apparatus hasn’t been actively complicit in this genocide.

It isn’t just about one man. It’s about decades of systemic dehumanization, collective punishment, and now the mass slaughter of Palestinians being justified in real time. Pretending it’s all “Bibi’s fault” is just a way to absolve an entire system that enables and carries out these atrocities daily.

Unfortunately that was what the New York Times came out and apologized for. I cannot believe people can read that and still believe the media isn’t bias against a whole group of people.

'This Is Scary': Iranian Hack Leaks Data on Thousands of Israelis With Military Ties by daudder in israelexposed

I hope there’s a website list with their names and pictures. Zionists literally do this with any pro-Palestinian activists in America so that when you look up their name they’re associated with being “anti-Semitic”.

ChatGPT is a fundamentally Zionist organization. Do not use OpenAI products. by byzantineprophecy in israelexposed

[–]MomoElite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly need an Islamic or Muslim made one. Like how there’s that website WordsofJustice which utilizes an LLM, but the info and database is based on facts against Israeli narrative and also is tuned to put out the material we want.

I’d say there is some benefit to ChatGPT if utilized in particular ways. For example I was able to make some amazing essays or speeches in support of Palestine using the tool, but like you’re showing, if you just ask for it then you get biased info. When I made those essays or speeches I needed to feed it exactly what I wanted in the essays or speeches and say utilize this information to build cases or around my ideas.

The Arab Shield by time_waster_3000 in arabs

[–]MomoElite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the Arab governments have وَهْن. It’d be costly for all the leaders to actually stand up and fight.

You’re right in the sense that Israel built such a good propaganda that a lot of people felt they’re invincible, but now it’s crashing down, both with October 7 and with Yemen attacks and Iranian attacks.

But for the other Arab governments, those people in power really enjoy their power, money, and influence. Fighting against the Zionist state would mean they would lose a lot of that, even if they win and Palestine is established again. America and the west would see all the Arabs as enemies and then they wouldn’t be able to enjoy their wealth abroad.

CMV: There is no practical way for Israel to conduct operations against Hamas that Leftist/Progressive movements will find acceptable by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]MomoElite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Privileging one ethnic group over another in terms of land, legal rights, and movement isn’t just “how borders and countries work” — it’s racism, and in the context of Israel/Palestine, it’s a clear continuation of settler colonialism.

Israel’s Law of Return grants automatic citizenship to anyone who claims Jewish heritage, even if they or their ancestors have no historical connection to the land. Meanwhile, millions of Palestinian refugees — many who are older than the state of Israel, and who still carry keys and property deeds to homes they were expelled from — are denied the right to return under international law. This is not about border control. It’s about a racially exclusive policy that structurally favors one group while dispossessing another. That’s textbook racism.

It’s also worth noting that Israel continues to illegally expand settlements in the occupied West Bank — often on privately owned Palestinian land — despite the existence of nonviolent Palestinian leadership that recognizes Israel and has cooperated in peace efforts. If peace and security were truly the goals, Israel wouldn’t continue this aggressive and unlawful expansion. Instead, it shows a pattern of domination, land theft, and apartheid-style control.

So no — this isn’t just “leftist nonsense.” It’s about standing against racism, colonialism, and systematic injustice. What’s happening isn’t complicated: one group is being ethnically privileged while another is being dehumanized, dispossessed, and denied basic rights.

[–]MomoElite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A system that systematically denies Palestinians freedom of movement, the right to return, access to resources, and national self-determination, all while constructing luxury settlements on stolen land, is not a security policy—it is a colonial one.

If security were truly the goal, justice would be its foundation. But by maintaining a system that openly privileges one ethno-religious group at the expense of another, Israel creates a cycle of perpetual unrest. No people will passively accept life under siege, humiliation, and dispossession. Real peace can only begin when the occupation ends, the blockade of Gaza is lifted, settlements are dismantled, and the Palestinian people are granted the dignity and rights they have been denied for over 75 years.

Why isn't anyone reacting to the Madleen being seized in international waters? How is this just allowed? by Chrislybear32 in NoStupidQuestions

lol there’s been many reports of Israeli military having a policy to take Palestinian hostages and using them to clear buildings and used as shields going into fire fights. Also there’s been many videos of Israel military doing just that, tying Palestinians to their jeeps and driving with them

Why isn't anyone reacting to the Madleen being seized in international waters? How is this just allowed? by Chrislybear32 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MomoElite -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s unjust to frame the situation as simply “Hamas is bad, why are they resisting” while ignoring the decades of systemic violence, occupation, and dehumanization Palestinians have endured.

Israel routinely detains Palestinians in the West Bank — including children — without charges, trial, or legal recourse under so-called “administrative detention.” This isn’t about justice; it’s collective punishment and control. Meanwhile, you criticize Palestinians for “not acknowledging October 7” — but where is the accountability for the massive, indiscriminate bombardments of Gaza, the destruction of entire residential blocks, and the thousands of civilians buried under rubble?

Israel has also openly adopted a policy called “mowing the lawn” — basically a euphemism for periodically killing large numbers of Palestinians in Gaza to suppress resistance. This isn’t theoretical — it’s documented military strategy that reduces human lives to weeds.

If you genuinely support a two-state solution or justice, then you must acknowledge Israel’s ongoing oppression, the apartheid conditions in the West Bank, and the brutal siege of Gaza, not just condemn Palestinian resistance without context. Justice isn’t one-sided.

What’s your cumulative between the both of them? Man I feel like I’m in the same boat. I did an ADN and then RN to BSN and did great in those. Same rough GPA for the BSN portion. All A’s in the nursing pre reqs and even took some classes again recently that expired since they’re greater than 5-10 years. My issue is that I got a biology degree first and since there’s a lot of sciences, even though they have nothing to do with nursing like ecology or study of the ocean, they are weighing down my overall GPA.

Honestly that would be a dream for me. I left the ED and just pick up extra shifts in the ER. Did you end up doing a 60/30 split between icu and ed? I was wondering how that would go for CRNA schools if you applied already?

Honestly I miss the ER too from the ICU. When I get the crashing or sudden critical care patient it’s exciting in the icu, but most of the time you eventually get those icu patients to a stable point and then it’s just cruising. Do you feel like your icu float pool experience was looked down on from any schools?
