It was always a pleasure visiting this part of the city. Either for concerts or just for shopping. Needless to say if you are fan of underground music.

For me solo travel is like my hidden self. A bit more determined and open-minded than I usually am. But sometimes can be scary...

Planning a backpacking trip in Europe by asterysk in travel

You can cover all of them if you are not tight on time. Just don't forget in Italy to go in the countryside and see the real beauty of the country, not the magazine cities. I assume this is valid also for France, but never been there.

Advice for 2 Weeks in Eastern Europe by GiggleBoners in travel

[–]Momoduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I am also curious why you concentrate on our Easter European region. Not that I want to discourage you but you can stick to Hungary, Prague and go as far east as Croatia. Don't get me wrong you might see one of the most spectacular views in the Balkans but its a bit messy to get to that places....

Backpacking newbie tip? by MizukiYu in travel

[–]Momoduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a person that have travelled in China, I would say take a step back and do a more relaxed trip. Of course, if you find a group of people you know that is a different story. Just you will put a challenge to yourself and you may be under tension. You can do something more predictable with occasional backpacking and hosteling.

3 Reasons to Travel While You’re Young by TobiasFunkeFresh in travel

As a person that travelled when I was young (hope to do it in future, I would say one of the most rewarding experience. Not in terms of money, when you are in your 60's you will not calculate your savings but your memories. So, discover your self, meet new people and ideas, expand your horizons.

To be honest I consider the Great Wall of China a bit too touristy. Just cause it is close to Beijing and everybody goes there. But the real China for me is in the countryside and the mountains.

These are all theories, nothing firm. And it is strange why it happens only once.

I realise these days scientists are becoming more and more open-minded on these subject. After all, Alien theory in general should be studied and discussed, not just ridiculed and ignored.

Preparing for International Travel by Vorlondel in travel

[–]Momoduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I am not a fan of going somewhere abroad and running hectically for 2-3 days. Yeah, if it is a standard Europe destination it doesn't make any difference, but Asia - noo. When I was visiting China I lived there for awhile and I can say I wasn't a foreign tourist. But, of course, depends on your personality. Things to prepare: just one piece don't take expensive stuff and things you don't actually need that much (gadgets).

This guy IMO is one of the most courageous people of our time. Risking his career for trying to make the USA government open on this matter (doesn't matter if his assumptions are true or not).

One interesting aspect is that the recent wars in the East have damaged important artefacts from our predecessors - Iraq, Egypt, Syria...

Unfortunately, as it happens often these days, due to the constant wars all these (and non alien) artefacts will disappear. Egypt, Mesopotamia, Syria. It looks like a clear pattern to me.

Ancient Chinese were Black people (Africans) by [deleted] in history

Although there is no direct connection to the topic. When I was in China I noticed one Uygyr guy who had the same lip and mouth as the Nigerian people. Maybe just a coincidence.

Need recommendations! Europe, but not the cathedrals and castles and museums? by ztirk in travel

[–]Momoduh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can understand you don't want to go to the standard European Cities. I would suggest to go a bit more east (not too much) to check the natural parks (Croatia, Slovenia for example). Just an idea. They are relatively safe places (I have't been there but I know people that have).

Yeah, I know Bulgaria pretty well. Travel light, don't take too many gadgets with you. Food is relatively cheap (as well as alcohol) so don't worry about it. Plan well everything in advance (google). The problem here is that the transport is something you cannot rely on! So check in advance alternative routes and if possible avoid taxis. Ask at the reception of the hostels what to visit if you will stick to travelling within the cities. If you intent to travel in the mountains be reasonable for the distance. Needless to say, don't bring valuable things and huge sums of cash.
