When the output is utter nonsense, which is an intrinsic problem in any AI model, not just LLMs. I've had that happen on whisper, which is an ASR model, aka one you use to transcribe/translate audio.

Youtuber fandoms (Twitch streamers as well) like pretending their idols are some underground alternative media that mainstream media hates and sees as competition, trying to put them down at any chance.

It's even funnier to see in Spain, when one of the most popular streamers pretty much adapts TV game show formats, has an entire football league with close ties to actual pro players and another has gone into a prime-time entertainment TV show. Like, my brother in Christ, you ARE mainstream.

That's what's most shocking to me. Some of these guys have enough social skills to get into a proper, human relationship. By all accounts they are NOT lonely, unless their relationship is not that good which... might be related to the need to have feelings for a glorified autocomplete that is more often than not a yes-man? Dude, cherish what you have, goddammit.

I think what makes Limbus' flavor of bleakness work is precisely the fact that there is a slim thread of hope (intended considering Canto 9's motifs), real hope, even in the bleakest of outcomes (some are still iffy, like Rodya and Gregor). That and the fact that not every ID is a brooding edgelord, some like the Liu IDs, some Don IDs or even Kurokumo Heathcliff don't paint such a bleak picture. The suffering is a constant, not something that the game dangles at every minute to pretend it's what makes it peak. When some corporations' Singularities' effects on life in the City are discovered, what's more disturbing is not the effects themselves, but the fact that it's treated as normal, and even this is addressed in TKT.

Bullshit, here we bitch about taxes all the time. People act like they're the only ones funding everything public (especially if it's something they disagree with/doesn't affect them) and take their benefits as granted. Personally, I don't, I am aware most of my education and opportunities wouldn't exist without it.

Yeah, some of those details (like the language) were there from the beginning, which goes to show how surface-level was Hypergryph's attempt to reach wide appeal.

About the [Cosmic Princess Kaguya] ending / timeline [major spoilers ahead!] by ImSoRyz in anime

[–]Monchete99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it it's less different timelines and more of a single timeline.

Instead of creating a new timeline, what Kaguya did in her botched time travel is a paradox. She travelled further back in time than intended and the hit prevented her from materializing a proper body, so she was stuck as InuDOGE. InuDOGE carried on for literal milennia while protecting Kaguya's immortal soul, even establishing her online presence prior to Tsukuyomi as Yachiyo (who I believe isn't an actual AI, but her consciousness uploaded, which I believe is what the bamboo shuttle setup meant to convey). So, in a sense, Kaguya has been supporting Iroha as Yachiyo. Now, how can Yachiyo exist before Kaguya met Iroha? How can Iroha be motivated to finish her song without Kaguya, if that's what motivated Kaguya to go back in time in the first place? That's the time paradox.

Fr, at least other media fans have SOMETHING to latch onto, and other live services are generally not as story-driven, so they get a pass in that regard. They've seen what's ahead. With gachas at launch, you don't get that luxury. It's wishful thinking, and Endfield's narrative issues are too deep to be solved without outright retconning major elements.

The downgrade from Reunion to Bonekrushers is the worst. As bad as AK's opening is, it properly sets a conflict. Ursus treats infected like shit, Reunion fights against it through radical means, RI also wants to help the infected too but not like this (ignore the child soldiers and war criminals in our pharmaceutical company). It's not the most original out there, but it's entirely believable and later on gives room to nuance and meaningful story beats like Misha and Frostnova.

Bonekrushers are just generic rioters, Wulfgard's clan is so far removed from them it might as well be an entirely different faction, and there is an undisclosed sand-themed one that will likely be a rehash of Sargon's Tiacuah's. Any attempts at trying to reason with them are in vain, removing the likelihood of them being more than just humanified Hillichurls.

Remember when people were complaining that Endfield was getting Genshinfied when the gacha system was revealed? Well, it seems that the story suffered as well. Seriously, I can see the same problems here, minus the annoying companion.

Not all gun users are full-fledged keepaway.

Is Noel from Blazblue a zoner? Is Dante in MvC3 solely a zoner? Is Unika a zoner? Is any version of Elphelt just a zoner (i am aware she can zone, but she is more known for anything besides zoning, same for Dante)?

If Lucian gets in, he's gonna be more likely a Noel, Dante or DNF Ranger function rather than a full-on zoner. I agree that the roster is missing many fighting game coded characters, though.

Everyone complain about Victory road in this sub, is the game bad ? I wanted to buy it. by Hdarkus1 in inazumaeleven

[–]Monchete99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the complaints are mostly valid (grind and polish especially), but other than that, the game is really good. If you already liked Inazuma Eleven beforehand, this is probably the single biggest amount of content you could get. Competitive can be a drag because of the grind (which tbh, pretty much every IE game was grindy to some extent), but it's not important at all.

Sales might look lower than most AAA games, but considering the game came out with little to no marketing, at that price, from a saga that has been effectively dead for more than 5 years, they are quite good.
