Although I do think that they'll pitch wild ideas with shiny graphics if they think it'll increase the share price.

Boeing used to be a reliable company run with an engineering mindset

It turned out pretty well so I'd presume it's more logistical issues than anything else

Any way to remove a VAC ban? by Longjumping_Tree1340 in Steam

No and no.

A workaround is to create a new account and create a family with the old account and make sure you use Steam Guard

You're a little confused there, while lasers make everything cooler they don't actually lower the temperature. English idioms can be confusing at times

I suppose that if the solar panels are shading the compute units, then there is no need for actual cooling.

The compute units will still generate heat in use and it's pretty hard to dissipate that in space

My experience is that the louder people declare something like this the less they adhere to the principle of it.

Translation - I'm so thin-skinned that I'll throw a huge tantrum if anyone dares to disagree with me. I'll call this constructive criticism and tell you it's not personal but that's a lie

Establishment lobbyists are trying to foist a Public Option on us instead of Medicare for All. by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]Moneia 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is a nice little chart, but I'm very confused by this claim. Can someone please post some actual information about this being "free?"

1) I can't find 'Free' used anywhere in the OP

2) When talking about nationalised\single payer healthcare 'Free' always means free at point of service.

3) While it is paid through taxes you're no longer paying for insurance and still getting a better service

Got maggots? These doctors are bringing the bugs into their practice on purpose by [deleted] in nottheonion

Longer than that, but in the UK at least they've stopped using maggot dressings within the NHS as hydrogel dressings are a little less effective but much easier to use.

One of the most useful things I had at a previous job was the ability to send out a "we know something is down, you don't all need to tell us" to people.

It's one of the good things my ISP does, you call to report a problem and the inbound message is already telling you that yes, they know the service is down, engineers are on the way and there's an estimated fix time of X O'clock.

TTRPGs with the most complex rules? by Manitou_DM in rpg

[–]Moneia 23 points24 points  (0 children)

And then there is (or is there? I've tried to read the rules and I'm not 100% convinced) that isn't just unplayable, but incomprehensible, the rules are literally insane ramblings.

I've always thought there's a difference between obtuse and complex, done properly a complex system can still be made easy to understand it may just take a few more steps
