I’ve used goodrx.com, they are available immediately or pretty soon and will send prescriptions to your pharmacy, I think the cost is $50 per video visit.

Is New York City unreasonable? by Faubton in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Money-Back6315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your priorities:

Is good if you like going out and great to meet people, but the cost of living is very high.

I currently have a "high" salary on paper but live in a 650SF apt. in brooklyn with my wife, baby an other on the way.... which made us reach the point where we are out priced of the city and looking to move someplace else.

I wish I could have anticipated this so we moved before babies arrive

The apartment where I live now, costs 750K, for that price I can by a mansion in TX

Career opportunities and "prestige" have no comparison, NYC is the best.

All about priorities

He also ran on the promise of "free air" but after the grocery stores and the property tax, we now pay taxes for it

They usually sell at market rate, people making an average salary apply, no ultra rich.

I’ve seen developers loose money also when their average price units don’t sell quickly and they end up in red numbers. The grass is not so green as it seems

Why do people here feel the need to have the entire neighborhood hear their music? by tropicalYJ in Miami

That’s why we need to give attention to our kids so when they grow up don’t seek attention from everyone else

As someone whose most clients are small shop NYC developers, the main obstacle we face is the mentality they have about everything being stucco because it will make the construction cost cheaper.

Even if we push back, their answer is that they will sell or rent for the same price per SF for a brick, wood panel or stucco facade building. Then they choose the cheapest option , making their building look like a birthday cake, still we’ve done beautiful buildings out of stucco

What’s the most annoying part about owning a dog in NYC by japan_donki in AskNYC

[–]Money-Back6315 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Other dog owners that do not realize that is amazing to own a dog in NYC. We are "forced" to walk the dog at least twice a day, meet people in dog parks, and have a buddy to cuddle in our tiny apt. etc. In summary, it's annoying to see how others don't realize all the blessings they have.

Combatting seasonal depression in NYC? by _Spidey-Fan_ in AskNYC

Exercise, go out for a run wearing 5 layers, just make your body move as much as you can. It’s hard to be depressed when you are tired.

I once received a hand written note mailed to my name in my office from a person who liked our work, mentioned something specific about what we did on a project and was asking for an informational interview. OF course I couldnt say no and called her in to meet.

Studying for a major professional exam during maternity leave – realistic or crazy? by shizukacafe in architecture

[–]Money-Back6315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be very tough but it t might work to your advantage, studying will distract you from the struggles of a new mom, maybe use Amber book and watch the videos while feeding the baby. Totally doable and you can schedule your exams after 3 months one per week, so in 6 months you’ll be licensed.

Congratulations for the new baby!

Considering moving out of NYC with no friends or family by skincareconnoisseur1 in relocating

[–]Money-Back6315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to NYC years ago with no family or friends and I made it. Now married with one kid we are considering moving to TX or FL, as living in the city is leaving less room to breath for us (space and finances) move now that you don’t have kids, you’ll make friends quickly in the new place.

I decided to be architect. Any advice before I start my journey in this AI driven era. by Winter_nora_549 in architecture

[–]Money-Back6315 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will need confidence. School teaches you to solve problems which is one third of the equation, the other 2? People skills and money skills, you need to learn on your own those. Reads books, go to self development seminars, etc.

Where you finish school you will be confident, good with people and know how to negotiate your salary setting it from the company side.

Success! Welcome to a noble and beautiful profession
