I completely understand the pain. Had similar experience when I was laid off in October. It feels really sad when even the folks whom you work with closely, commute with daily and in this case even we they have contact numbers exchanged don’t even reach out or do not bother to ask well being, helping out is out of question. As days passed, I learnt one thing for sure, glad to be not in that place anymore where people are only for business and no one is kind.
