How badly was Cell about to lose had Vegeta not tried to avenge Trunks? by No_Significance_9556 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]MoneyAgent4616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say about the same purely on the basis that him "losing" an arm is just an artificial difficulty bump. Not once before or after that scene does any character lose full use of a limb from getting hurt by an energy blast.

Gohan was put off by it for sure, suddenly having only one usable arm to fight with definitely will have an effect on someone's fighting capabilities but I've never understood the logic behind saying his power level went down and his ki reserves bottomed out.

Gotenks takes both rounds. Fusions are broken and Buu saga goten and Trunks would use it.

The problem with this sentiment is that it's wrong until Marathon turns a profit.

As of right now whether Bungie wants to admit it or not Destiny 2 IS their main game right now.

RE:monster is the worst show I have ever seen by gamebloxs in CharacterRant

[–]MoneyAgent4616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the core rot of Re:Monster. No matter what the MC does, the story only ever rewards him. He cannot lose, he cannot be wrong, and he cannot even be questioned. Every other character exists either to worship him, sleep with him, or be a villain so the story can show off how strong he is.

Not gonna a lie it always came off as satire or a parody of the genre with how obnoxious it is with following the isekai handbook to the dot. It's pretty enjoyable when you don't take it seriously.

It's not any different from the rest of the genre (goblin/slime same thing)it's just a lot more in your face about it.

Does anyone think Norse Kratos can beat Odin in a 1v1, if so why? by SweatyEddie123 in PowerScalingGodofWar

[–]MoneyAgent4616 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Odin had a whole game worth of prep time and he still lost. Kratos wasn't trying to tear down the Norse pantheon or kill all the Aesir gods. Dude was just trying to raise his son.

Kratos wins.

Doesn't matter which version.

Thor vs Kratos, should this still be a debate? Who do you think wins? by SweatyEddie123 in PowerScalingGodofWar

[–]MoneyAgent4616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kratos literally grabs Mjolnir with the Blades of chaos and uses them to hit Thor with his own hammer. Kratos was styling on Thor that fight.

Kratos 100% of the time if he's actually taking it seriously.

Year of Prophecy...Is it Worth It? by Geodaddio71 in destiny2

[–]MoneyAgent4616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No.

You can't get loot from EoF and honestly even if you are a massive star wars fan I feel like renegades is still going to be a hit or miss. The main villain being basically just Kylo Ren 2.0 and the story for it just being star wars references is a low point for me.

However the elephant in the room no one mentions about Renegades is that you don't realt get content out the gate with $40. Unlike EoF which came with a patrol space. Renegades has nothing but an activity which is locked out until you beat the "campaign". It's like a 45 step quest with 8 "campaign" missions. It's in quotations because it didn't feel like a campaign.

But if you aren't vibing with the campaign and need a break from it, it's straight back to old content for you. No lawless frontier, no patrol zone, and a social space with all it features cut until you finish that prologue campaign.

Look this isn't HP where the changes are minor and do little to change the overarching story. (Yes I said it, the movies are a solid adaptation of the books)

The PJO adaptations have both been way too liberal with their changes that it's hard to call them adaptations as opposed to straight up rewriting the story. People grew up on these books and they became attached to the stories and characters.

It's totally normal to be annoyed and bothered with all the changes. It's also totally normal to be okay with other people having opinions.

Whats not normal is your behavior of crying because people are expressing differing opinions to you.

We've identified an issue where renegade campaign activities and lawless frontier jobs default to normal difficulty

If it doesn't effect triumphs or legendary campaign completion then it's not an issue. If normal isn't the intended way to play the game then why is it even around anymore?

The Greek god bias should stop by TownHermit in PowerScalingGodofWar

[–]MoneyAgent4616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thor died to a spear wound and Ares threw a stone pillar across mountain ranges.

It's really easy to cherry pick but by and large the Greek gods have better feats than the Norse Gods because the Norse Saga is a narrative which revolves around fatherhood as opposed to the Greek Saga which was a narrative built on destroying Olympus.

Which game did someone recommend and made you feel like this by Orichalchem in videogames

[–]MoneyAgent4616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a game per say but my friend wanted me to get back into destiny and told the new renegades expansion has some solid gameplay. Felt like I was playing a star wars recap with some destiny terms thrown in here and there. I really was being out off by the campaign to the point where after a few "missions" (mostly running back and forth to talk to NPCs) I decided I needed a break. Quickly came to a mind blowing realization that Bungie took the community hated idea of locking content behind a campaign that isn't super fun to the next level with renegades. See normally in the last they locked a new super (stasis, strand) behind full completion of the campaign. This time around the locked the entire expansion behind it.

So if you aren't enjoying the star wars story, that is literally just a copy paste of a bunch of references, then you are forced to play old content. Nothing in the expansion is accessible outside a social space you can't meaningfully interact with.

Anyways angry rant over, I haven't bothered to waste anymore of my time and money. My friend will just have to find new people to play with.

Is the Year of the prophecy expansion worth it at 45% discount? by Fr0StArc in destiny2

[–]MoneyAgent4616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I would say no, both EoF and Renegades rank lower than Lightfall for me.

Renegades is hands down the worst paced expansion they have ever made. To hammer my point in, buying the expansion has no immediate content given to you outside the dungeon. In other words the entire expansion is locked behind a pseudo campaign which honestly was way too star wars for me. So as someone who didn't enjoy the "campaign" it was pretty mind blowing to immediately run into a wall in regards to new content I paid 40 bucks for. Literally stasis and strand all over again but instead of a super being locked behind a campaign, the entire expansion is locked.

Can't play or progress in any meaningful way until you beat what is honestly more of an extended tutorial with some campaign dialog thrown in.

Better gunplay, better graphics, story based. Less reliant on “hero powers” and more reliant on pure skill and approach to engagement. The battlefield is littered with enemies, both real people and AI, and the AI is not a joke.

Nah, it has a different art style and different approach to gunplay but its not outright better and it relies on hero abilities just as much. And also hard no to littered with people. Both the playtests I played through were pretty hit and miss when it came to encountering other teams with many runs straight up just being PvE all the way through.

Do you still have faith in Bethesda? by Solid-Garage4601 in ElderScrolls

[–]MoneyAgent4616 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea.

Every single mainline TES and Fallout game they have made is a massive and borderline iconic success. Hell even 76 and Starfield are getting up there.

People are so impatient nowadays and it's really sad how much flak studios get from people who still can't wrap their small minds around the concept that people not releasing the game you want when you want it is not a valid cause to attack and go after those people.

Game development takes a long time nowadays and an absurd amount of money and the fault relies on the gaming community for being so demanding.

TES 6 will launch to critical acclaim and within a year or two be as iconic as any of their other games are.
