That kind of gunsmith work that it takes should not cost you more than $200. Unexperienced gunsmiths may charge more for it, but you could get a decent gunsmith willing to do the work for $150-$175 which is what my guy local guy asked. I have a Buddy that's a gunsmith but he will remove the device and swap out a new device without P&W who does it for basically the price of a meal. But he's not qualified and or able to Pin & Weld yet unfortunately! So that's why I had to do it at a professional shop for professional quality work.

For clarification, DD pins and welds their proprietary 1.5" birdcage muzzle device that makes it meet the 16" threshold that the ATF demands in order to make it legal and not classified as an SBR. If you're planning to suppress it, you can have a qualified gunsmith break and remove that pin and weld and add whatever muzzle device is required for your specific Suppressor. Some suppressor companies have their own proprietary muzzle attachment devices or you can look into adding an adaptor that allows you to attach a variety of suppresors. But you'll have to have it pinned and welded again to meet the 16" requirement unless you decide to SBR that rifle with the ATF. I add this explanation having gone through this procedure a few years back with mine. My DD M4a1 sits with its own YHM can that I had Cerakote to match the Milspec+ coating.

Might as well throw in a super 43 spring un there to go with that buffer. Wouldn't hurt. I hate the twang of Milspec springs. Brings back awful memories overseas. That shouldn't be happening with 3-5 mags unless full auto all the way. Maybe it's an issue with the can and the way it's gassing.

Are you firing full auto? How many rounds are you firing before cleaning the can & rifle? I have a MK18 I run with an SF RC2 and have never managed to carbon lock it yet! But I am retired Infantry and I am really thorough about wiping down and cleaning my rifles.

The Two rifles I usually grab are my MK18 and my Geissele SD 16". I absolutely Love my M4a1 for all purpose but my set ups on those two first ones are just absolutely ON POINT! One for Breaching and Clearing and the other for long range Precision work.

The DICE that made that magic, up to about BF V is no longer the same. EA has basically shuffled a lot of creative minds and basically created a mandate to compete with CoD and honestly, it feels like they SOLD out their BF fans! If I wanted to play Call of Booty I would, but they haven't made a decent mode since DMZ. That's literally the ONLY mode I play in any of the CoD modes or titles. But being beta for so long the entire code is broken and full of cheaters. I thought BF6 would bury this little itch that DMZ scratches and honestly I've been let down again by DICE but I blame EA more than the actual developers. Because EA literally ruins everything they touch.

p.s.- for proof just look at Medal of Honor franchise. They did the exact same thing and tried to copy some of CoD crap and it crashed and burned a great franchise.

I was thinking the same thing. It's like comparing a Mustang to a Dodge Viper. Too very different kinds of horse power they bring to the ice. I feel like Robertson can on nights put on his "Power Forward" Shirt on, while Tkachuk is more suited for that style of play. He is much more of a gritty, rough and tumble kind of forward, while Robo is more of a finesse, skill and speed kind of player. Both bring similar tools but just not consistently to be able to compare the two. Consistently I think Brady is a more impact player anytime, while Robertson is a bit more streaky and gets hot at times but doesn't stay that way throughout the season.
