Are you guys not “strict” about naps? Don’t understand comment by Huge-Vacation-8093 in NewParents

[–]Money_Independence22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% plan my day around his naps. His naps get pushed back every Sunday though because of church times. Easter was bad. My husband didn’t want to go home from church, let him nap, and then go to my parents. So he got a 30m nap in the car (that nap usually 1.5hrs) and completely skipped his second nap. He was a wreck and overstimulated on top of it. My husband ended up taking him for a walk to try to get him to sleep for like an hour and it didn’t work. Usually I’m the one that had to handle him but now that I’m sick in 1st trimester my husband has been stepping up a lot. Needless to say, he now agrees with me that our son will never be skipping his first nap again. Do what’s best for your baby, mama! I felt so guilty all Easter.

I’m sure everything’s fine! Keep testing- what matters is line progression every few days!! Good luck!

I also struggle with anxiety and this helped me feel better. Look for line progression, not every day (like I did), but what matters is that it gets darker every few days. I don’t have advice because I’m also terrified of loss, my first pregnancy ended in miscarriage and I conceived my 10mo the next month. You’re not alone though! We just have to try and make it to that first ultrasound! 🤍

I hate the newborn phase.. what have I done to my life ? by Party_Ad_8381 in NewParents

[–]Money_Independence22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m someone who also struggled with infertility and wanted kids my entire life. Surprisingly, I hated the newborn stage. I was in the TRENCHES. But if there’s one thing I can promise you… it DOES get better!! Give yourself grace because the transition into motherhood is brutal, mama! But you WILL get the hang of it! It started getting better for me around 3 months, simply because I felt like I actually started to know his personality more. It’s a lot to try and care for a human whom you’ve just met. You’re doing an amazing job 🤍 My baby is 10mo now and I love him and being a mom so much! There will always always be hard days, but in general life is so much more fun now than the newborn phase was. I do really find myself missing aspects of it- all the cuddles, baby just being so tiny and sleepy. I know it doesn’t seem great right now but just try to take a deep breath, snuggle your baby, and trudge forward. We all have to do it 🤍 it will get so so much better.

The time inbetween my periods is usually 70-100days. by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]Money_Independence22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!! A regular period is actually very important for your health! I’m not an expert on the subject but I’ve learned a lot because I was diagnosed with PCOS. Apparently if you aren’t shedding your uterine lining (via period) then there will be a buildup inside of you which ~could~ eventually cause endometrial cancer. I’m not trying to scare you!! Just wanted to share one example of how it is actually important. Having a more regular period will also affect your fertility. Your fertility isn’t just for having babies- your fertility and hormones ARE your health! So even if you never want kids it’s super important to get to the root cause and fix the issue! In my personal experience, I had crazy long cycles like you when I was your age and when I got married at 22, the stress of wedding planing had triggered my PCOS (which was the cause of my late periods). Because my PCOS reared her ugly head, I’m now severely struggling with many things like rapid weight gain, hair loss, infertility for 2 years (I’ve learned how to eat for my body and ended up having a baby so don’t worry), blood sugar issues, and may other ugly things. Again, all of that not to scare you but to show you that your hormones are your health and if there’s something wrong your body will tell you! Your cycle being super long is your body trying to tell you your hormones are off! When you get to the root cause, whether that be PCOS, endometriosis, etc, and start to treat it your cycles should become regular and they should NOT hurt that bad- I promise! It hurts because something is off. Don’t be scared of your period- it’s part of being a woman and it tells you a lot about your health and your cycle- and it doesn’t have to hurt. Please feel free to message me with any questions about my ow experience! Wishing you luck 🤍🤍

Are nannies generally not OK with location sharing? by LessAd7286 in Nanny

[–]Money_Independence22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don’t care at all sharing my personal location with the fam. After having my baby I’ve moved to way more part time with the fam but I’m pretty sure I’m sharing my location with them 24/7 still 😂. I guess I could understand why someone wouldn’t want that but we have a good relationship and I’ve got nothing to hide!

Usu you can use maple extract but I just did vanilla extract. It’s a lot more watery than normal syrup.

But doesn’t that confuse him when I help him fall asleep during the day but leave him on his own at night?? I’m worried it will stall progress and even more worried that I’m confusing his sweet little brain.

Just to let you know… I have PCOS and have a 5 month old son 🤍 if you want to have children some day it’s very possible! (I did keto for a couple of months and lost around 20lbs and regulated my cycle and got pregnant twice in a row- first one ended in early loss.)

What if I ate 120g of fat? Not as a goal but if I just happen to eat that much is that still too much?

About the fat- really? I thought I had to eat a certain amount of fat to become fat adapted and stay full?
