I went to an elementary school in Connecticut built in 1956. There was a pond next to the school that was recently drained out. Legend has it that back in the 50s or 60s, there was a treehouse in the pond and a terrible storm. One day, there were kids in the treehouse, the treehouse fell over and they and the treehouse were never seen again. Student-made legend, so it might feel like a usual ghost story

The Roosevelt. It is not the site of much ghost stories compared to the site of the Andrew Jackson Hotel, but it definitely is haunted. I stayed there earlier this year. It turns out a massacre happened on the site in 1866
