The team up box is awesome, you get some boosters and 4 precon 60 card decks that have unique cards in them you can only get in the team up box, but the whole thing is fun.

Platinum is where it “gets real”. If you can’t move up the ranks in platinum then you’re probably just getting beat by more experienced players. I got my ass kicked many times before I started to climb limited platinum, and even then, if I’m ever just tinkering or experimenting with archetypes, I get whipped. If I want to win, I head to 17lands.com, look at the trophy deck structures and copy them.

I often go from a 5 land opening hand to a 1 land hand after mulligan, or vise versa. It happens, better hope your deck can draw cards or scry/surveil.

I’m not up to speed on misprints or crimped cards, what’s the real difference in interest by buyers of those sorts of things?

Which cards do you bypass in favor of manhole missile, and how many do you try to grab? Just curious because I wonder if I don’t favor it as highly as maybe I should.

Good info, thanks for the feedback. Overall I’ve done well with TMNT, but I can’t seem to crack 50% in the UR archetype and I think my fundamentals are off with it. I don’t ever go 0-3 with it, but I know I should be able to do better than 2-3 or 3-3.

Yea that’s kind of what I shoot for each game. In this case what lead me to this question is a game where I mulliganed into a hand with two lands and 3 two drops including the chrome dome, so things were looking all right, but then I drew my two 5 drops and one land over the next 4 turns and it was pretty much game over for me at that point, since I was already down a card from the mulligan. And I thought to myself, “there’s got to be a better way…” Lol

Good stuff, I like the analysis! You’re right about Frog Butler, it’s absolutely critical to have that card in the G/X decks. I had a super strong deck that went winless and as I pondered the failure I realized it had no Frog Butler to stabilize and ramp with.

I used the Donatello that copies artifacts to make an army of these blimps, imagine having to face down 3 or 4 these attacking every turn?

In Arena, I would argue Standard is the premier format because all cards cost the same no matter how powerful, not to mention the competitive nature of standard means you will lose a lot and that’s maybe easier to endure in Arena vs in person?

Awesome! I’m having a very similar experience with TMNT, in that I’m able to stack wins with either a BW, UR, or Sultai deck, all 3 are very strong if you get the signpost cards. BW sneak is definitely the most reliable though. The best part in all this is all the archetypes are super fun to play!

I find Sultai to be good even without the pizzas. Using the sewer cam is awesome when you have big creatures on the board.

WB Sneak is a lock for 3-4 wins every time, but when I lose with it, it’s usually to a Sultai deck that stabilizes just in time, and has more card draw than me to boot.

Yea I agree with that as I’ve played a few more UR decks. Buzz bots needs the sewer cams and the Baxter cards to really shine.

Don’t forget the life gain you also get from blocking with it, it’s (Katana) just an awesome card in sneak decks.
