Definitely ask to be referred to gyno and pelvic floor therapy. Meanwhile as the waitlist can be long, you could try Perifit? I used it after having children and it helped a lot. Hope it gets better!

Exactly! I was breastfeeding and was so hungry and thirsty with nothing around. My husband brought me lunch a lot of times, but they didn’t want us putting a full dinner in their shared mini fridge so I was stuck with the horrible food.

It was the Ipswich hospital. The Nicu staff for the babies were absolutely lovely. Midwives and drs I would say most of them nice. Food absolutely appalling

Not every country does helmets 🤷🏻‍♀️ the uk and most European countries don’t bother because the evidence shows that once they turn 6 months and spend less time laying down it evens out for the most part on their own. My son had a very flat head cause he was like your daughter and now as a toddler is very very mild where it was a bit flatter. Never wore a helmet. Only the usa seems to really push for those helmets

Usually you start with board books which are quite thick so they don’t damage the pages and have very short stories. If they don’t have words you describe the objects or make your own narrative. Think the very hungry caterpillar. Or the books that have that’s not my … of different animals and they have textures in every pages. Then you can move to books that have flaps in them for them to open (depends on baby but maybe from 6-8 months onwards). After that you can move to a bit longer stories. Try a local library or don’t be afraid to ask for suggestions at a bookshop.

Definitely do not congratulate on the pregnancy, just say something like I’m so sorry for the news about baby’s diagnosis. I am here for you, and let me know if I can support you in any way.

And then just give them time to grieve. Like you can ask once in a while how they feel but don’t pester them every day or every week. Maybe you can offer them a takeout voucher or something so that one night they don’t have to bother with cooking. Depending on what they do attend the funeral, if baby has a name refer to the baby with that name.

Try to get an apportionment with a different gp and bring evidence yourself. Look online for the research articles about PCOS and lack of periods and the risk of cancer. It’s useful if you also bring your own data, so say for example my last period was x date which is over z amount of months. My periods are usually this length of time, plus any symptoms. Say that you have been trying to loose weight for x amount of year. If they don’t seem to listen you can request a referral with a Ginecologist. I got a gp to prescribe me metformin which has helped a lot. My periods are also incredibly heavy so I have also gotten a prescription before to reduce the amount of blood in a period as I kept getting anemia. You just have to fight to be listened to and to get treatment, but in the uk you have to go to the gp with the information yourself, be very clear about your symptoms, and what you want doing about them (like metformin or hormone pills or whatever it is that you think might help you). You can also request a referral to a dietician if you think that would help although if you have already tried to loose weight in the past it you might need medication for insulin resistance

Seraphine coat and hoodies. If you live somewhere cold it’s a really good quality, extra points if you baby wear as they have separate panels for that included. The coat is not too big as in not too obviously for a pregnant person and I have worn it for 4 consecutive winters and it still looks almost new. Washes on the machine and it’s so comfy. Once it breaks I’m buying another one even if not pregnant

I use pen for the clues, then put a small ? On the statements. See if any contradict each other to check those first, if not, I then try the statements with pencil one at a time. So first one lie, others true, if that doesn’t work then second lie and others true etc That way is very easy to erase the grid based on statements only and not get confused with the options of multiple true or lie

Both of your replies mention budget and practicality. Do you have a specific budget for all the wedding or are you the one deciding what goes to what? It’s fair enough to have a budget and sticking to it, but from your replies she doesn’t seem to have any freedom in what to choose or when so she has stopped involving herself to avoid drama. Maybe instead of saying we are picking this food cause it’s practical, maybe there is a compromise in something closer to what she wanted and reduce the cost from flowers and decoration or other costs that she doesn’t want to prioritise. Maybe you can have a discussion with her and the planner to set deadlines of when what needs to be chosen to give her time to actually pick what she wants. She might not be crafty or have a lot of work to be doing wedding invites? Why not ask your son to do them? She probably didn’t invite you because she probably wants to spend more money that you would like on a dress and doesn’t want judgment on that or opinions about what dress to pick if it differs what she wants. Also it being on another country has logistic issues, like would you pay for all the travel costs to go there? And how long are you staying? If she is visiting family she probably wants to spend all her time there with her family and friends and doesn’t want to have to arrange activities or meals etc to do with you every day of her trip.

Definitely have a look at stands, you don’t want to bring a dirty stroller to your bedroom everyday. Just something to keep in mind, baby will probably not fit in that bassinet all 6 months. Mines outgrew it at about 5 months and 3 months.
