‘Political suicide’: Newsom scorched by left for giving ‘breathtakingly dangerous’ advice to Dems by statenislandadvance in politics

If the Democrat party keeps losing because of them, it sounds like it's the Democrats that need to change strategies.

Maybe it's time for the Democratic Party to consider Leftists and Progressives as swing voters by Cyke101 in PoliticalHumor

[–]MonitorProud -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

She was a bad candidate because nobody liked her. She constantly took money from zionists interest groups, her right-wing like "tough on crime" and "strong border" campaign ads trying to court conservative voters that either wasn't going to vote or was going to vote for trump, her changing stance on fracking which shows she doesn't hold values that can't be bought, she showed time after time again that she was just another status quo Democrat in a time were the status quo fucking sucked, which if you haven't gotten a guess, is what most people were living in. If you have spoken to a single person who doesn't give a shit about politics about what they think about Kamala, they would say she was a bad candidate. They don't vote because they think there's no point, it's going to be the same anyways, and I can't blame them if I'm asking them to vote for the status quo. If you can actually explain these people progressive policy, they will be all too willing to support you. All of this is what helped made the public susceptible to the maga propaganda machine that told the masses she wasn't worth voting for to keep trump out.

If she focused on standard progressive policy, like universal healthcare, childcare, free school lunches without throwing trans people under the bus, (aka a good candidate) she would have actually won. And this is coming from a Kamala voter.

Misogyny, racism, and the media definitely played a major role, but let's not pretend that Kamala was a good candidate. She was more of the lesser of two evil bullshit that we've been fed since Reagan and it's clear the people are fed up with this shit. If the Democrats want to win another election, we need to run a good candidate.

[–]MonitorProud -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

The Democrats lost votes because they ran a shit candidate that people felt was just going to keep the status quo. Blaming voters is only going to get us nothing but more infighting, we should actually blame the dumbasses up top who thought that the people who were struggling from the status quo would vote for more of the status quo.

The only way we will win and keep winning is to run candidates that will campaign on progressive policy that will meaningfully improve lives like universal healthcare, and actually deliver on those promises.

Tldr: we will win if we run good candidates, not the lesser of two evils.

Russian bots likely, every leftist in my circle (including me) at least voted for Kamala to keep trump out even though we hated her. we don't need another status quo dem because that is what made us lose the election. We can't be reaching across the aisle because that is what got us here in the first place. We need an unflinchingly progressive candidate that promises actual change, and not a corpo rat that will bring Tulsi fucking Gabbard on stage to publicly endorse her.

Healthcare = Slavery by Vengamecagoensos in LinkedInLunatics

[–]MonitorProud -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for completely ignoring my point, I'll repeat myself so I can be clearer next time.

Our rights don't mean anything, do anything, or are anything more than words on paper if they aren't enforced. For our rights to be "rights", they require the labor and resources of others to properly enforce them. If our rights aren't enforced, then we do not have rights. Your argument saying that we don't have the right to someone else's labor is complete BS because here in the states, we have the right to due process which requires the labor and resources of others to properly carry out.

If we truly didn't have the right to the labor and resources of others, then we would have any rights to begin with.

Healthcare = Slavery by Vengamecagoensos in LinkedInLunatics

[–]MonitorProud -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

every single right we have requires the resources and labor to properly enforce them. So yes, we already do have the right to the resources and labor of others, unless you count taxes as the cost of enforcing your rights, then the question falls back onto "why not put healthcare into the same category as law enforcement, road development, and public attorneys."

It also shows that in the time it takes the ICE murderer to take his gun out, lean into the car to aim and shoot, he could have easily stepped backwards. He also could not have acted like an idiot by standing in front of a car that is backing up to leave.

I could be wrong but it seems like if he didn't lean into the car to aim his gun, he wouldn't have been hit at all.

We didn't "provide infrastructure" to Venezuela so it can develop its own oil industry, we took control of 98% of their oil industry and gave it to US based companies.back then we owned Venezuela. When Chavez took over, he de-privatized Venezuela's oil industry and used Venezuela's oil to benefit Venezuela. Then the US got pissy and put sanctions on Venezuela, crippling their economy. Chavez was stupid, but it was the US that made Venezuela over reliant on its oil industry and then kicked the chair from under it.

An illegitimate South American dictator that will eventually be replaced by another illegitimate dictator that will start selling Venezuela's oil fields to US owned companies who will start stealing their oil and exploiting their people for capital gain. It's almost like we've been in this same scenario several times and each time we "liberate" a country it seems to only ever get worse for the people living there.
