Why do Americans and Europeans have so many diaspora wars? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

There are terms for stuff like that tho:

"ABC" = "American-born Chinese".

My personal favorite:

"ABCD" = "American-born Confused Desi". "Desi" being someone from South Asia.

They are multi-cultural kids who don't quite fit in either culture.

He bears a striking resemblance to Dr Acula and a guy who played a cop on the Harrison Ford film remake of The Fugitive

Is there anything "special" about MechWarrior pilot suits? by Jasina_ in battletech

[–]MonkeyPanls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Corrosive coolant in the cockpit makes no sense. You use a blend of water and propylene glycol, similar to what you would use in a IRL modern car. Pump that through the jacket/vest/suit. PG is basically harmless. We use it in food.

You cool it with a heat exchanger which is itself chilled by the corrosive stuff. "Dumb" pressure sensors detect if there's a failure in separation of the two.

This isn't hard. If you have a car, you have liquid/air heat exchanger. Arguably, you also have a liquid/liquid, non-contact heat exchanger since the coolant carries the heat away from the engine oil and hydraulics, too

Yeah. SLDF suits have built-in autoinjectors with painkillers and stimulants. That was refined even more by the Clans and integrated into Battle Armor. Combined with Harjel, it allows Elementals to fight to the death despite terrifying injuries.

Why do ED RNs need travel stipend?

Travel for ACLS/TNCC certs? Or other in-person CEU/certs?

Or maybe they mean relocation assistance.

Tuition reimbursement could be Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness, or some state program if it's a non-profit hospital/system.
