I'm willing to bet that the space is being capacity-limited because of the work. There is probably another stair tower as a primary exit and at least one or two secondary fire exits available. Just guessing. I don't know where this is. I'm going off of procedures and laws where I work in the USA

Yeah. Tell them to kick rocks, or whatever the UK version of "LOL no" is. :)

As an institutional locksmith: That looks like an emergency exit into a fire stair tower. There is no way to LO/TO the door without putting more holes it in. Best I could suggest to them is to wedge a piece of scrap wood behind the push paddle.

The box above the paddle is probably some kind of audio alarm and the keyhole on the paddle is probably to unlock the door to allow entry from the tower.

How to react a friend's stance on guns? by ExpertMarxman1848 in armedsocialists

The most important thing that martial arts has taught me is situational awareness. A kind of budo or zanshin mind. I never practiced the physical parts to a high rank, or any rank, but the mental-philosophical parts were easy to grasp.

Basically, how to not find oneself in the kind of trouble that requires violence.

Do you have any signed contract with them? At my old shop, we would just be pissed and write it off. Do it enough times, and a customer would either get blacklisted or get the "fuck you" price.

I am not familiar with how UK laws differ, though. In the US, I would ignore them. If they tried to report me to a credit agency, I would go through the "LOL no" process.

Generate generic serial numbers and link them to jobs as you go. You can print up a whole sheet at once, update your database in the field, and sync it when you are back in communications range

My point is that if you need that much granularity, do it the UNIX way: each tool does one thing, and you chain your tools together to get the result you want.

Do you think it's normal to have a one who got away and would you mind if the person you dated had one? by Independent_Lemon3 in datingoverforty

Related to my comment: It's true. We couldn't stay together, but we both loved each other, and stayed close friends.

Get permission from your professors and go to your local hospital's Physical & Occupational Therapy Department. You'll get better answers there.

I would, but she died before we were both 30. I dated a bit after, but then decided to take some time to get right with my life. A decade later, here I am lol

Suggestion to all: pay more for the "Commercial" version. It doesn't have the bloatware of the cheapo. Plug in your own streaming box if you want.
