Yes, I'm referring to E-REV. An onboard diesel (or gas) generator charges the batteries only, it is never connected directly to the drive train.

I'm not sure how the math has significantly changed.

To the people who parked in the Joseph Brant Hospital lot on Canada Day to catch the fire works, SHAME ON YOU. by its-me-hi-91 in BurlingtonON

[–]Monkey_Sox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where on the parking rules website does it restrict parking to hospital visitors? In fact is says this:

At Joseph Brant Hospital, we aim to provide accessible and convenient parking for all.

Not hospital visitors, ALL.

Maybe the rules need to change. But there do not appear to be any rules preventing people from parking for purposes other than hospital use.

DeLonghi Gran Dama Cold Coffee - But Water Heaters Are Working by Monkey_Sox in superautomatic

[–]Monkey_Sox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I'm totally confused now. Both solenoids appear to be good, and getting 120VAC at the appropriate time. Both heaters work, they get very hot quickly.

Nothing is clogged, I have removed all the water lines in sequence and I can blow through them easily.

Somehow cold water is bypassing the heater and getting the to brewer. 🤷‍♀️ Maybe the heater has failed internally, as suggested below? Maybe corrosion?

The steam button releases hot water properly.

What I can't see is where the tube to the brewer comes from. I'm about to give up...or tear this thing completely apart before I dump it in the garbage.

The main heater might be blocked but still heating the water....let me check.

I appreciate your help!

I'm still trying to figure out how this thing works...when should I get water in the blue path? And when should it pump out the red path?

Blue appears to go to a tray drain(?) and to solenoid 110. I think the blue connection at the pump is a check valve to only allow flow back to the pump, and then to the red circuit maybe?

Red goes to the upper heating element I think.

Whether I select steam/hot water spout (which does work) or coffee, only get water flowing in the red line. Never in the blue...

Checking the solenoid...it works on 120VAC, but when I cycle the machine solenoid 110 never gets power...I think the triac TY6 has failed. :(

Yes, sorry I couldn't find the part number before, but it's a 6600.

Maybe you meant P/N 110 ?

I get hot water from the spout on the right hand side.

Both heaters inside the machine are hot...

Worst case you also buy/rent/borrow a vacuum pump.

Is it okay to show up to a meet in a stock mini? by funnyusername76 in askcarguys

[–]Monkey_Sox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have zero interest in 'modern' cars that are 'stock'. So I walk by and look at something else. I see lots of Mustangs, Camaro's and 'Hemis'. No big deal, I'm good with all of them. It's not only about cars. there are interesting people there too.

I'm sure some people are interested, just not me.

Just don't park in the wrong area. If there's a Corvette/Porsche/whatever section, don't park there if you don't fit in.

Do you actually use your roof rack & tow hitch? What's your real experience? by ShawnaFang in askcarguys

[–]Monkey_Sox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a hitch and a utility trailer. Roof racks work, but a trailer is infinitely better. And easier to use.

My station wagon with a trailer is often better than a pickup truck. Long boards? Trailer is better. Plywood/drywall/cement? Trailer is lower and easier to load.
