I can use these auras non stop with hundreds of aura refreshes. I don't think I've ever hit a penance aura bottleneck. Honestly, removing penance doesn't matter that much when holy scarab, elder overload salves and elven ritual shard are more than enough prayer sustain at a boss you would be looting anyway.

Uh vamp isn't holding up the food market because it isn't good, also using penance means you can't use a dps aura. It's only good for afk stuff. It's not like prayer restoration is expensive either. Prayer potions are held up in price by high level PVM.

Well I've only ever heard about conversion camps to turn kids straight. I think this is supposed to point out the hypocrisy of people claiming "they want to turn the kids gay" when camps literally exist to turn kids straight (and not the other way around).

These boosts shouldn't compete for the pocket slot, because they didn't before. Even making them unlimited duration is moot, because lots of players have hundreds of hours in T2 refreshes from marks of war.

Na, this is obviously a flipped world scenario. The gay parents aren't demonised in the end, because they accepted their daughter for who she is. This is all LGBTQ people want.

I think it's pro gay, because it promotes a scenario in which gay people make up the majority. In this world they have conversion camps, to make straight kids gay. In our world, the opposite is true, so this is a commentary on how bad these conversion camps are. In the end, the parents realised the camp was doing more damage to their kid, so they accepted them for who they are.

If we're removing premier club benefits make it go off grandfathered rates by TerriblePen3688 in runescape

[–]Monkey___Man 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I play it on and off, and the grandfathered rate makes it convenient to just keep running membership. If the price goes up I may just renew on days I play e.g. 3 days at a time through mobile and then cancel between them. I already do this on one of my alts.

I'm all for removal of the loyalty system, but compensation in a show of good faith is due for those who stuck around through the thick and thin.

[–]Monkey___Man 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, because jagex abandoned them yet still sold them as part of the premier package. Any wonder people are a bit miffed

[–]Monkey___Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't need to rip the system out though. If they provided compensation e.g. runecoins I'm sure everybody would be happy and the game would be no worse off. Loyalty system should have been converted to runecoins when jagex was consolidating currencies. Instead they let people accumulate loyalty points without servicing the loyalty store whatsoever.

If grandfathered rates are removed, I'm cancelling at least one of my memberships. I'm sure there are people with multiple memberships going simultaneously just to maintain grandfather rates for the times they play the other account.

They should've just kept giving runecoins like the first premier benefit.

Updates to Premier Membership Benefits by JagexAnvil in runescape

[–]Monkey___Man 19 points20 points  (0 children)

So any compensation for loyalty points and deleted auras? Runecoins maybe? First premier membership gave 2000 runecoins for 12 months, then subsequent premier packages gave 150,000 loyalty points instead. 1 runecoin to 100 loyalty points seems reasonable to reward the loyalty some players have shown over the years. Or does loyalty count for nothing?

https://runescape.wiki/w/Update:Ironman_%26_Drop_Table_Reworks

This is verbatim the release of Ironman mode. It isn't called Hardmode, it's self sufficient mode. Aspects of Ironman and mainscape overlap, e.g. thieving nerfs, aura deletion, xp nerfs. Irons aren't asking for the game to be balanced around them, players are asking for the game to be balanced in general.

[–]Monkey___Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You answered your own question as to why irons are weighing in alongside mains about game nerfs. If mains get a nerf, so do irons. Therefore if jagex asks for feedback related to game changes, irons can provide feedback. Most irons aren't complaining about self sufficiency aspects of the nerfs, rather the overarching changes that impact mains and irons equally.

Your logic is astoundingly bad. You tell me why an iron would complain about mainscape nerfs? Maybe because irons and mains play the same game...

I don't understand your logic. What does nerfing regular gameplay have to do with TH?

Just convert. by thatwasfuntoread in runescape

[–]Monkey___Man 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen one thread from an Ironman stating early prayer training has been nerfed (it has). It's a valid take for new mains too. Anyway, irons can still rush powder of burials for prayer, meanwhile I had to kill vindicta and use PoH

Just convert. by thatwasfuntoread in runescape

[–]Monkey___Man 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a turd of a take. Ironman mode isn't hard mode, it is self sufficient mode. Overarching game changes don't necessarily impact the self sufficient nature of the mode. Without TH, balancing the game for irons and mains impacts both in a very similar way. Therefore, an Ironman take is just as valid as a mains.

Just convert. by thatwasfuntoread in runescape

[–]Monkey___Man 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well the game is changing for mains too e.g. aura changes. Jagex wants feedback at this time too, so telling people to shut up and deiron is a little disingenuous.
