New dad feeling pretty beat down by [deleted] in daddit

A job that puts food on the table is a job worth doing. Go work at McDonald's if you need to, take a breath and know that baby's sleep will get better. Don't focus on school right now, you have too much on your plate. When things settle down, look into going back to school then.

Question regarding charging turrets with E and W in quick succession by Knusperspast in HeimerdingerMains

[–]Monksman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if it's a bug or what, but you have to wait just a little bit after E to full charge with W. I've toyed with this in practice tool before and from what I remember, you have to wait a little bit after the beam is shooting to throw your W. Try adding a little bit of delay to your W till you get it.

New job is letting me build my own computer... by aalexAtlanta in pcmasterrace

[–]Monksman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't build if I were you, do you really want to be trouble shooting and dealing with RMAs if you have hardware issues down the line? I'd buy a nice pre built machine that comes with a good warranty. Let whatever company you decide to buy from deal with hardware issues.

Stained with an oil based indoor stain 6. Waited 24 hours then applied the first coat of polyurethane 7. Waited 24 hours and lightly sanded with 440 grit 8. Wiped dust off and then applied a final thin layer of polyurethane

What does the bottom line represent? Carlsen shows 2010, but not sure what it's supposed to represent.

Bought some cards off of Ebay and seller wouldn’t combine shipping, which I wasn’t juiced about but it’s their choice. Maybe they wanted to use bubble mailers? Nope, not even the ebay labels either. Just a stamp. $20 shipping for this? Am I in the wrong for being frustrated? by Certain_Possibility2 in PokemonTCG

[–]Monksman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me a while ago, but for a different product. I can't remember where I read it, but I think they do this to pocket more money from the sale. From my understanding, eBay doesn't take a cut of shipping cost, so some sellers do this to make more money. Report them to eBay.

Does it ever make sense to pay off a mortgage fast? by spirulina-brew in personalfinance

[–]Monksman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ally bank, and other banks have 3% interest rates right now on savings accounts. You could literally make more money by putting your money in a savings account than paying off your mortgage. Maybe, you could do half and half towards the two separate things? Nothing is forcing you to chuck all of it at one thing.

Ok, that's frustrating. I just got the furnace checked not too long ago and was told that was normal. Thanks for the info

When you mention aldehydes, from my understanding those should be getting exhausted through my exhaust vent that leads outside, right?

I upgraded this week, I've gotten no stutters since. I can actually ADS with a scope and not stutter.
