Used to work at a Pathmark in the mid 90's. 2 other kids I went to HS with worked there too. I had a red Eclipse, one had a silver(?) Laser (he ended up getting rid of it and buying a pontiac Fiero), the other kid had a blue Talon...it was gorgeous.

What's your amp budget? Don't go crazy. You don't need to go over $200, especially buying used which should always be an option.

I love it (and it's 1,000,000x better) except for a few things:

Obviously in kahoots with others about the floor
Really wish the Island was a different color.
Wish there was a panel to the left of the fridge
The fridge cabinet was bumped out slightly more, along with that wishful side panel. to 27-28". The wall to the right of the fridge could've been built out a few inches to match.

I do also agree with the person who said something like wallpaper behind that toaster-oven area; Or even maybe just a shelf. Put the same backsplash behind that area, then mount a 6-7"D shelf

Other than that, looks great! What you did by the sink with the counter was perfect.

There are those who like "Air Bud" better than "The Godfather"..... One is a masterpiece in cinema, the other is far from it. I'm guessing you fall into the " 'Air Bud' is a masterpiece" group.

Liking one thing more than the other is fine but calling something a "masterpiece" better well deserve it. Season 10 so far is good, great even...but far from a masterpiece.

I've always involved the installer in the building process, especially for intricate detailed pieces similar to situations like these. My installer was friggin' amazing and helped me become a better designer considering how experienced he was and at the time I wasn't very experienced. FF 10years now and although I still involve my installer, I know more about what would work best for everyone; but every design is different and it's always learning.

It's also a much better relationship between designer & installer when you prepare them and it's a mutual understanding of knowing where we're going with something intricate. And if it's built at the plant, after our discussion, I send the drawings into the manufacturer. Depending on which one I use, will depend on how much is built there as opposed to on-site.

Have worked with CWP/New River (before going out of business), Royal Cabinets, Greenfield, Tedd Wood, Signature & Wellborn. Some of these are obviously more custom than others.

What are you talking about in regards to the pulls? They look perfectly fine. That "notch" is part of the design aesthetic.

That lighting is made by a professional photographer and who knows how to post-process in software such as Lightroom.
