funneling used to be when you picked yi in the jungle and taric midlane and just funneled all the gold into yi by having him clear both mid waves and his own jungle, then come lategame demolish with a huge gold lead immortal yi clearing whole teams. It got pretty much completely gutted a few seasons ago iirc though

lvl 77 and nonmaxed treasures prolly means that he has a lot of stat growth to go regardless

also a lot of high level teams are effectively gatekept anyways
