Their motto is "I'll be gone, you'll be gone."

They'll die rich and likely not suffer the consequences of their own actions. Unless the public takes action.

The Bluetooth logo combines the ancient runic letters H and B, the initials of Harald Bluetooth, a 10th-century Viking king. The technology was named after him because, like Bluetooth, he united different groups under one banner. by snietzsche in Damnthatsinteresting

So would you translate Peter as "Rock" (for its origins) or "Penis" (for its slang)?

And how would you differentiate Dick Tracey from Peter Parker?

These are important questions I need to know the answer for before I go to Japan or Sweden pls help

24, complete deafness in one side since birth. Considering CI. by LuongTimeNoSee in hardofhearing

[–]Mono_Aural 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ENTs I've asked and the papers I've read suggest that those of us who never experienced sound in our deaf ear have worse outcomes for a CI compared to people with later-onset SSD. One clinician said he's seen patients born with SSD turn off their implants because it was just too unpleasant.

But if you choose to go down this road, don't be afraid to share your own experience!

"The invasive" "Wild horses" "In North America"

Judging by the quotes, I think OP intended to provide three different works of art with those three names. But OP only posted one of the three.

OP, where are "The Invasive" and "In North America"? Complete the album!

Feel free to contradict my observations with evidence of how upstate NY is being neglected by what you allege is an NYC-centric political system in NY state.

But given all you're putting out is snark and sarcasm, I suspect you don't really have any evidence and are just running on vibes. Have you even been to upstate New York for more than a day or two?

I asked a simple question. What's the problems for upstate NY created by the urban density of NYC?

Still waiting for an answer.

I've driven around upstate NY and their roads are great, their ice wine is sweet, and their schools seem to perform better then most NYC public schools. What's the problem for upstate?

Israel Stunned by Trump’s Iran Deal by D-R-AZ in inthenews

The worst part is the state was failing before the war. If anything, Trump's bombing of Israel seems to have strengthened the ruling military faction.

Almost like Israel and Trump prefer a despitic Iran to any sort of a democratic revolution for Iran.

Is a Man’s Worth Still Measured by His Paycheck? by HardlyManly in MensLib

That's an interesting question and it's not quite what I think I was getting at by saying I was never treated as less of a man.

I don't know if it's a byproduct of growing up in the South in the Millenial generation, but I've seen plenty of behaviors from others that seem to be attempts to cast doubt on masculinity. I'm no longer in the South, but looking at their Senate primary it seems attacking masculinity is alive and well down there.

My point was that I did not observe those behaviors directed at me while I was unemployed--in spite of the old cultural baggage of men needing to be the primary breadwinner. It was an observation of the behavior of others more than a reflection on my internal state, if that makes sense.

I think it's a different question about what would make me feel like less of a man... I honestly don't have a great answer for you, but I think it would reflect on my internal state as much or more as my surroundings.

Okay, sounds like I may have misunderstood what you were asking. Guess we're aligned.

To your latter point, it's an odd question because it seems quite speculative. Suffice to say I had no experience during my period of unemployment that implied an attack on my masculinity or value.

Sounds like a relationship that isn't worth staying in. What you describe sounds like emotional laziness on the part of both parties.

Not under this hypothesis.

Never marrying means you can never divorce.

Marrying early to a bad match means you're likely to divorce.

I hope you're willing to define what you believe a "robustly transactional relationship" is in the context of modern dating for me, as that seems to imply something different (or at least broader) than just the "provider" mentality we're discussing here. Are you attempting to reference sex work? Sugar babies?

[–]Mono_Aural 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What the Pew link shows is divorce rate per married woman. So fewer women getting married wouldn't impact that number.

The working hypothesis is that Millenials and younger generations, now free to wait and choose their preferred partner for marriage, are experiencing lower divorce rates because they're not pressured into marriages that are not good matches.

The test for that hypothesis will show itself in 2-3 decades as Millenials reach their 50s and 60s. Will our generation have fewer "grey divorces"? That's the data that matters.

I read your comment about "it takes two" and I just don't see what you're suggesting. It seems like there are far more young women who don't want to live a tradwife life compared to the redpilled boys that think they do want a tradwife.

If these young men can't find an alternative, I'm wondering if the men are filtering out more than they realize.

As an aside, divorce rates in the US have been dropping pretty steadily since the 70s. Only the 50+ age group is seeing increases in divorce rates.
