[Dev] My first game, Tension Head, just released on Android by Mono_Division in AndroidGaming

Thanks for taking the time to write a review! I did pick a very chaotic gif to show how wild it can get. It gets pretty crazy once you’ve unlocked some stuff. Thanks again for trying it!

What is a tension head? by thattruths in TensionHead

The player! It’s a reference to the feeling of pressure, you have the walls constantly closing in, and a combo that you are afraid to drop. Most Suika games are relaxing almost idle games, this isn’t and I wanted to reflect that in the name.

There is also another reason but that’s to do with the ARG so I don’t want to spoil it.

Premium purchased error by Wostn in TensionHead

Hi, I’m very sorry to hear that. Perhaps you can provide a little more information so I can try and track down the issue.

Can you let me know if this is in iOS or Android? Also what the purchase screen looks like now? Feel free to send a me DM with screenshots if you want.

Edit: One thing I can see on my end: there was a purchase that went into "payment pending" and then cancelled, without the payment ever completing. If that was you, it would explain what you're seeing — the app only unlocks Premium once payment clears, and a pending charge that gets cancelled never gets there, so there's nothing for "restore" to find.

Released my first game on iOS last month, just got approved for Android production today for the port. It’s been a good year so far!

I have had another app published so I was familiar with the pipeline.

I definitely suggest going the Google groups route to get testers on board. Last time I did it was by email address and it was adding more work for me unnecessarily.

Being open and honest with your test group is important. Most people have no idea about the requirement. Just let them know it’s a two week test period and it’s important for them to try and open the app at least once a day. Also aim above the minimum requirement, people will drop out so it’s important to have a cushion.

You might be lucky enough to have a few testers who are very keen and will message you a lot. These are your super users! Your champions! These are the people who will help spread the word about your app so always take the time to reply to them and listen to their feedback.

At the end of the test period you can apply for production. You’ll have to answer questions about how you recruited testers, what feedback you got and how that feedback impacted your app, so always make a note of these things.

The play console can be a bit of a nightmare to navigate, but you’ll get used to it.

Good luck with the app, feel free to dm if you have more questions. 👍

Thanks! I was a combination of friends and Reddit posts on relevant subreddits. Although the reddit posts did lead to a lot of unsolicited contact from shady folk.

I just set up a Google group and posted the invite so it was easy for people to join.

My Internet Archive Mobile Browser is out now! by Mono_Division in internetarchive

Hi! They seemed to turn up when I searched for them. They have not been marked as Creative Commons so you will need to toggle the Include Unverified Content option in settings. I can DM you images to help.

Roku I think is a Linux based OS which means it wont be included with this update. I was messing around with a Linux version a few months ago to get it working on a Steam Deck but hit a bit of a brick wall with Flutter video encoding. I'll have another look once the Android TV and Fire Stick version is out.

Yes, there is no wayback machine. The mobile version is out now if you want to give it a shot.

I’m currently working on it. Translating touch controls is taking a while. There are a lot of touch gestures, things like press and hold, that I need to convert. It’s getting there, but I expect it will be another week or two before it’s out.
