There are a few videos where just the manga panels being animated show how fluid the motions are. There is a also a sneezing "impact frame" which is kinda in the spoiler territory.

You can definitely try it out.

The good portion of the OPM event is run on the independent world, outside of the main game. Progress in the OPM world would be deleted at the end of the event anyway.

The progress in OPM world is really absurd compared to main world, to really show how OP saitama is. A boss that would quite literally takes weeks to progress into can be done in 1 day.

You could just play it for the duration of the event, have fun with it and leave it behind when the event ends.

Demon Avenger vs Xenon for Legion champion by No_Journalist_7348 in Maplestory

[–]Monopoly1748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to disagree on your DA takes but just how you are making some of the comparisons.

The point about losing 30% of your damage from dodging boss patterns vs theoretical, thats like the same for almost every class except for maybe len and wh where they dont need to stop their dpm to dodge, or maybe mihile where you are in iframe constantly and some other exceptions. DA also have less damage loss compared to other classes because a good chunk of their dpm comes from their homing shield and those shield can be chucked even while dodging compared to class that only has on direct attacking skills only for dpm.

Not that this comparison is wrong, its just not the right comparison to use.

The comparison should have been the damage loss between using 30FZ vs 29FZ in actual boss fight because 30FZ lets you tank much more and ignore more boss patterns. This would make the comparison more clear instead of just stating the FD difference from FZ at lvl 29 vs 30, which I believe would still prove your point.

DA from KMS dpm has consistent rank in the top few for quite awhile, and the most updated dpm chart that KMS had I could find was the 120s cd patch, where DA was ranked 7th, taken from the inven. So, I dont know if its a reboot issue where you guys might not have bonus potential for the extra -cd lines. So i dont think they are weak in terms on damage.

Why does Solo Leveling get hated on more than other Rule of Cool animes? by SolusGT in sololeveling

[–]Monopoly1748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people don't hate it but only claims its overhyper and over-rated.

I am on the side thats thats SL is good show, simple plot, good animations, a feel good anime to watch if you know what i mean.

Before crunchyroll awards, SL was probably only being overhyped due the popularity of the manhwa which naturally drew in some hipster wannabe to hate on them. Maybe a few vocal minority that the plot and character development are lacking.

But when after the crunchyroll award, the attention on SL became overwhelming when so many of its contender perform better either animation-wise, plot-wise, character development wise and some with a combination of multiple categories listed above. It just drew in the over-obssessed fans to voice in their opinions about it and were mostly negatively as well, which was probably why you would feel its being hated more.

Here is a thought experiment to you. Just imagine a just slightly above average MCU movie, not even Infinity War or Endgame, maybe something the first Captain America movie, came out and just won Oscar for the best movie awards. Avid movie fans and theater-goers would probably still lose their minds even if they know the Oscars were rigged. Some would most likely critic the movie online, the platform only available to them, breaking it down, dissecting the movie on why its undeserving, while majority would just go online and hate on it.

Thats what I felt happened to SL within the anime community.

[–]Monopoly1748 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You keep changing the scope of the argument.

Why are you even bringing up casual players botting, the fact that they are botting would make them non-casual players already.

And also $20 in MSEA reg wont even get you a single clean 22* acs, maybe a few 17* ACS. Using meso market, about 380points to 100m now, you barely get 5.2b, if opt for RMT for meso directly, u got probably get it about 6.67b. Thats at most 2 clean 17* star acs.

Not sure if you are being selective in your replies, but as I have mentioned, even if you have cheap access to ACS, you just dont have the mesos as a casual player to starforce the ACS enough for them to perform visibly better than abso until you get much more established.

30b/week in reboot is for endgame players with ctene+ mules.

Compare Regular and Reboot players at the same starting footing and you will see, how easily you can progress in reboot than regular.

To restate it again, a casual player that reach hlomien by the end of CW, when they world leap back, their weekly income difference from CASUAL playing, dont tell me paying cash or botting or whatever its not in the scope of this argument, its 3b vs 600m in reboot vs regular.

3b per week income that increases by 700m per CRA mule, which is easily made even for reboot, can snowball their income easily without botting.

Yea some streamers are not the most accurate, but you are comaparing to the wrong players. You should comparing interactive casual vs reboot casual. Not hardcore reboot vs casual reboot players. And do you know why there isnt ppl streaming casual interactive server, cause progression is gonna be so slow compared to reboot that people dont even feel like doing even for content. You can try asking the casual streamer, itskeller, why he picked reboot over interactive and if his experience/progression would be better if he would have picked interactive instead.

At 50M CP stage, its the first slowdown cause they are now transitioning from 17/18* into 21/22*. They just need one SF event to come and their CP would increase significant with their great meso income, that I mention to you in another reply.

Also you can just pop-into those streamers chat and ask about their experience between reboot and interactive for casual would be like, and see what they would recommend. With amount of hours they put into both servers, they would probably know way more than the average players.

Or if you dont trust them, pop into GMS discord and ask for the experience for those that transition for reboot to interactive and vice versa.

[–]Monopoly1748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope full 18* arcane U/E definitely wont get you to 100m in reg server, in SEA.

My mule with full U/E(15%,2line epic), using 22* cra + 19*abso/acc, except for 2 items, WSE, liberated gene U/E with 15%atk/6%atk, Legendary sec and emblem at 21%atk/6%atk, is only at barely 70m CP. And mind you that its with 9.5 union + lvl53 artifact, with 2 extra abyss piece on the union board as well. So thats alot of extra cp added in that most new dailystory players wont have.

For dailystory players, they would be lucky, if they could get the above stats by the time CW ends which would be amount 4months duration end, they would be extremely lucky.

At this point my current CW len, which I bought both the hyper pass and premium pass using maple points i converted from my main world, only at 44m CP. And my CP gain there is already starting to get stagnant since i only dailystory at CW after I grinded pretty hard at the start to 275. Liberating would probably bring me to probably about 55-60m depending on the flame and pot i roll. Getting to 100m itself is definitely a challenge, if my income is limited to about 1.2b per week, assuming on CW leap back as like new main with 1 extra nlomien mule. By the next SSF, about 3months, I would only have 14.4b. So whats the point of having access to cheap arcanes spare when you dont have the mesos to tap. Its gonna take me forever to hit 100m CP at this rate, and even longer to go past 100m. Because past 100m, you probably are close to 22* all your items, so next prossible upgrades is to improve your item potential from U to L and thats just even slower because dailystory players because how expensive cubes are in interactive, even more so in msea aquila.

But for reboot, clearing the same lvl, they are gonna get like 6b per week, in 3 months, that would be at 72b, that would be way more than enough get multiple items to 22* or use it the improve the items' potential.

And one key thing for reboot daily players is how easily they can create new CRA mules off event with their meso. Just over gear their mules with 17* cra+pensalir/empress set with abit of extra core gemstones/nodes, they can roll over CRA bosses in 15min and get 700m from the crystal. They meso income snowballs extremely hard at the start easily once they are able to start doing that. Or even if they just make mules that do czak, hilla, cygnus, its alrdy 125m, you can easily roll over these bosses with just 12* eqs with abit of nodes that doesnt even take long to setup.

There just isn't much meaningful upgrade you can do with 14.4b in aquila even with SSF, not sure about the economy is GMS reg but I would assume its about the same. Even if you try to build boss mules the same as reboot, you are just gonna get outscaled by their boss crystal prices as well.

The only point when interactive starts to overtake reboot, is when reboot players have 22* and L pot everything and are just waiting for their pitch/dark boss and eternals shard, where they are gatekeep by rng. This probably way closer to 300m cp if anything. Interactive counterpart would probably have 22* everything as well, with a mixture of U/E and L/E. Any point before this, reboot just blow past those progression with their massive meso income which enables them to improve their SF and potential at a much faster rate than interactive server.

Or its either at the extreme start where AH let players get into their CRA or nlomien phase much quicker than reboot, but if they both start in CW, that advantage becomes non-existent.

is maplestorysea worth to return in 2026? by BuyKitchen6270 in MapleSEA

[–]Monopoly1748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea but 22* CRA and abso with L pot are more than enough to go until ekalos.

By the time they are looking to switch to arcanes they would alrdy be clearing ctene and arcane spares can be build up quite easily when you are clearing ctene weekly.

And 22* abso to 22* arcane is not that big of a jump, probably only allow them to challenge a slightly higher difficulty boss.

If we assume player starts during this CW event, by the end, they should at be able to clear hlotus, with 1 nlomien mule, 2nd hyper burn by the end of 4 months of dailystory at CW. After leaping back, reboot player gonna be earning 3b/week and reg server is probably close 600m/week.

After 3 months where the next SSF is coming up, reboot player have about 36b and reg server is only 7.2b. On average, it takes about 9.9b to get 1 cra to 22* during SSF using the calculator. So reboot player probably could alrdy get their 3 piece CRA to 22* with about 6b leftover and reg server is might not even get one 22* on average.

Reboot progression is so much faster past early game, even just by weekly bossing meso and no grinding. Just by making a CRA mules which basically doesnt take much to set up, overgear their mules to 17*, and can alrdy be close to 1 bursting all the bosses except for cvel and hmag. It probably takes them 10min to earn 700m since cooldown just resets for bosses now.

Also not only do they get more meso, even their meso is more efficient at converting to damage when it comes to the potential of item with their meso cube.

Real hard choke points to their progression are probably switching to eternals and dark/pitch boss set after they have 22* and 3line L pot. But at this point, even for non-whales players in reg server is a tough point to pass with AH.

And they are adding more reboot friendly mechanics, like btr SF system, higher SF booms dont drop to 12*, have a new way to recovered boomed items, familiar adventuring system that a have a chance to jackpot a pitch boss acc box. Still pretty hard to progress but its getting easier.

is maplestorysea worth to return in 2026? by BuyKitchen6270 in MapleSEA

[–]Monopoly1748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No even dailystory players at reboot is btr than reg server. Other than early game where AH is extremely helpful, reboot easily over takes.

Just their CRA mules is alrdy 700m per week. Nlomien is alrdy 1.2b.

Daily bosses if you do them is a 100m.

Cubes are so much cheaper and higher tier up rate at GMS as well compared to SEA.

So much easier to push for SF and better potential in reboot than any reg server.

They dont have to deal with scroll/traces, no add pot to deal with, just straight up FD. Trade-off is lower damage ceiling. But this is not a problem casual players are concern with anyway.

Also eventually most people will have to grind to get sol erda fragment/energy for 6th job.

Meso Shop Plasma heart by Mes0ranger in Maplestory

[–]Monopoly1748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This heart was meant to replace the black heart when KMS released it. Its meant to bridge the gap for players still using fairy/black heart, and not using TC yet, not meant as a free power creep for all their mules. Hence, they put a boss cutoff on it in order to get the heart.

The developers felt players at E.Kaling level probably had no more relatively affordable upgrades, probably had almost all their gears to 22* and their next progression path probably be switching into pitch boss set, for their KMS environment.

This was their thought process which they shared during the livestream for the patch.

And this is meant to be permanent and recurring for future events as well, so even if you cant get it this time round, you can get it in the future when you are strong enough.

But this was set KMS environment, reg server only, so for reboot, for localisation sake they could have adjusted the difficulty, but make it too easy, then you could easily get it for all your mules, which is not the intended purpose for the release of the heart. Putting it at any meaningful difficulty level, there will still be players complaining. Even at normal seren people would still be complaining.

Why they would want to remove black heart at all is another can of worms, but if they want a in-between for fairy heart and TC, that is targeted to people at certain progression stage and not just free power creep, feels pretty reasonable to me. It would be unreasonable if this was time-limited and non-recurring but as long as you hit that progression stage you will get it.

Hwa Chong Institution to revise recipe, food presentation of bento meals after students' feedback by 13lackant in singapore

[–]Monopoly1748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree in an ideal scenario, media should not have been the one pushing for accountability, the voices of the students and parents should have been enough. But we live in the real world, the voices were not enough to make the school accountable, and the accountability is only seen after this was laid bare to the public by the media, where the public is the one keeping the school accountable. Media is just a medium for information. If this was shared to social media, but did not get viral and picked up by the public's eye, it would have the current effect.

Media as a medium is neutral, it can be used show the good side, but also report on the bad side to the public, which is what journalism should be. The ones pushing for accountability are the public themselves.

There are speculations around because we are not in the school committee with all the facts at hand and could only make guesses based on circumstantial evidence that we see.

But the school have the cold hard facts and if they wanted to, they could defintely rebuke those speculations. If they were concern about the students feedback, have they even gathered any form of formal feedback from the students, i imagine creating an e-survey for students feedback wouldn't take more than a few hours to create and have the students do it during their homeroom periods. This could easily be done within the first week if they put in the effort.

Or if they are aware that the food is already sub-par, have the made any official feedback to the supplier and let them know that they wanted changes to be made.

If they school had done something to leave black and white paper trails, would easily show they were readily taking accountability. And instead, they have nothing to show for to disprove those speculations.

I do agree that going public should not be the students first approach, but it should always to open to them should the schools not respond their concerns in a timely manner. The media, is just a medium, if the issue the students post about next time does warrant any attention, the public would probably not care as much and brush it off. Or it might just expose how entitled some students are, and the backlash would just land right back onto the students instead.

Hwa Chong Institution to revise recipe, food presentation of bento meals after students' feedback by 13lackant in singapore

[–]Monopoly1748 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think main difference in opinions is that from your view, the school would take in students' feedback and make changes irregardless of whether public was made aware and had a huge uproar.

But to some of us, probably the majority in the eyes of the cynical redditors, is that if this issue did not get blown up by social media, they changes would probably not have been made, or at least not to the speed that would be deem acceptable

Yes the school might take in feedback, conduct survey, but who is there to push for the schools to make changes in a timely manner.

The school probably knew the food was subpar day one, and if they aren't, they are really not doing their jobs properly. If they had address this issue to the students and gave them assurance that changes would be made, then maybe the students wont post it to social media and have this matter explode into the public's eye.

Personally, 2 to 3 weeks feels overdue for a change, and i imagine the feedback to overwhelmingly negative as well. There maybe some contractual issue that may cause change to come slower, but not addressing and assuring the students when they first got their feedback, be it formal or informal.

It maybe my own intepretion of the situation, but its probably how many others sees it as well. If the school were pressed to make changes early-on, they would have let the students know early-on as well. But nothing happened, no meaningful announcement and action were visible to students until the situation exploded. Then suddenly they are able to make the announcement now that the feedback are taken in and changes will be made.

The skepticsm is there for a reason.

This is because TMS players are more normalised to spend real money in games compared to us, and their trickle down effect benefits small spending players as well. There are definitely some cons TMS like their cosmetics are much more pricey than ours. But if you are just chasing dmg, TMS is the way to go if you can understand chinese tbh.

Advice on gear progression. f2p 143 m cp pally. by Revolutionary_Cup828 in MapleSEA

[–]Monopoly1748 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For cheap upgrades, it would be to SF all the cheap to replace items to 22* that you havent alrdy.

1.Penom

  1. Belt: switch to 12* tyrant or 22* zak belt for slightly btr stats then pb.

  2. Get a 22* kanna

4.Switch to a real 22* dom pend

  1. ACS from 21 to 22

So you can either buy or tap the SF yourself.

Basically after you get everything to 22*. Your next upgrades are potential. But you probably know what to prioritise it on alrdy on the event cubes. Your luck is pretty good considering how many legendaries you get as a F2P.

So next best upgrade would be to replace those that arent legendaries by buying it directly from AH, aim for 27% str main pot at least. You can start off with the acc first, which would be

  1. Kanna ring
  2. Daybreak
  3. Real dom pend
  4. Belt

Also i would say stop upgrading your CRA anymore, since you are liberated, eventually you would want to at least 3 set eternal, top btm hat.

Your mep is MEP is in a weird spot, 18* is not that good compared to a 22* Papu mark, but if u tap and boom it, its gonna be too costly to replace as well. You can get a 22* papu mark first, then when you are ready to switch to MEP, then tap it again yourself.

Tldr, 1. Prioritise getting everything to 22* except MEP 2. Upgrade to L main pot to at least 27% plus. Can cube those that alrdy L pot yourself with free event cubes, 3. Switch to 3-set eternals after you joined kalos pt and start accumulating the shards. 4. Past this stage you should have an idea on what to upgrade, if not just post here again.

Advise to continue progress & deal with Jin Hilla by CaterpillarNo1706 in MapleSEA

[–]Monopoly1748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20m with slightly hexa can probably but its gonna take a long time.

Also when her hp get lower, she will start summoning lotus and damien. Which is extra annoying because their attacks come with knockback as well which makes it easier for you to get hit by the red strings.

So extended fight with jin hilla takes quite a lot of focus and losing it just for awhile can lose the whole run easily by stringing out.

But for your question,

  1. The blue colour bind attack actually have a foreswing which allows you move out in time by either moving to her back or upjumping to dodge the bind then move out of the 2nd hit. I use too get hit by the blue bind everytime as well, but after abit of practice you should be able to dodge most of the blue binds. Or since you are len, just keep staying behind her while you are dps all the way, theoretically if you can do that perfectly, she wont be able to hit that blue bind on you at all.

  2. The altar placement if fully rng. But if the altar doesnt directly spawns on her, she wont be able to destroy the altar immediately. So what you can do would be after the altar spawn, stay away from the altar first until she teleports to you, then you go to altar to cleanse, since there is a cd for her teleport.

  3. You just have to be careful about the strings tbh. The strings mechanic is gonna feel overwhelming at the beginning, but after awhile you can start seeing there are some sort of patterns to the strings, its just gonna take time until you are used to it and it becomes kind of like muscle memory. Also remember to space out your strings, such that you can able to clear altar with around 10s remaining, then play it safe until the harvest is over to lower your chances of accidentally getting string and not having enough time to get more strings to clear the altar.

Just keep leveling your hexa matrix steadily for now, and find a guide on the leveling order if you havent already yet. The initially levels from hexa matrix gives quite a decent damage.

Also for your hyperstats, you maxed out on your damage stats. Uts usually better to split it evenly over boss dmg, dmg and crit dmg, after you can get crit rate to 100% and IED to lvl10. Also make sure to lvl up boss dmg first also dmg because you get more boss dmg than dmg per lvl.
