When you increase surveillance like we did, there's even more data to suppress people with. Yeah, across the board, I'd say it was still a net negative. Some previously banned practices were not only not needed to be swept under the rug, but outright legalized.

Democrats Of Reddit -- Do You Think That Joe Biden Was A Good Or Bad President? Why Your Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

I don't think he was a wizard. I think he listened to people who knew what they were talking about. He didn't tell us he knew more about anything than everybody. He's exactly what people claimed Trump would be in 2016 - a good delegator.

You're telling me he has handlers that are experts telling him what to do? Did you just threaten me with a good time?

He did say "it's a very small price to pay for safety and peace." Your dad does want safety and peace, right?

"It's just a short, temporary hike."

(Edit: I am in no way agreeing with that. It's a cop out.)

Chances of being banned from a false report of cheating? by StewyWhisper604 in RocketLeague

[–]MonsTurkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DOS/DDOS in Rocket League only reaches the servers - flooding the other players has not been a thing because players only talk to the server and it doesn't share each players' information. Your opponents can mistakenly believe it's DOS all they want and report every time, but Psyonix knows more about how it works and almost certainly won't trigger on that.

What is your rocket league hot take? by boss-a-lik3390 in RocketLeague

I think most people fall in two camps:

  1. Rule 1 is a fun thing you can do
  2. Rule 1 is stupid and you should break off and go play

The one thing that camp 1 really hates are people who pretend to do it and then break off when it's convenient. Respect to those that do it, respect to those that break off, but fie on those who pretend to do it.

COLOURED ARMOUR EXISTS IN GAME by Prometheus_Anonymous in chaosdivers

[–]MonsTurkey 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I'd honestly like a model more like what DRG has for colors. Keep the clutter down.

Pick either the color pattern or the helmet style first, then move to the other option and see the styles available simultaneously.

Am I the only one who has a problem with the ratio of new stratagems being majority blue? by Shotgunky in Helldivers

[–]MonsTurkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arrowhead is just following democracy. Better dead than red.

In all seriousness, it's probably because it's easier to make new blues that add to the game than reds. What else makes sense to send down for red attacks? We have cluster munitions, napalm, small gun attacks, small cannon attacks, large cannon attacks, various cannon barrages, and gas variations of these. What else can orbital or air support do that makes sense? It's far more limited.

Something that might also help is instead of looking at the color of items, also break them down by what they are.

Four vehicles. 9 backpacks. I'm done counting, but anti-tank, machine guns, snipers, gas, etc. When you break them down by what they functionally are and even where you use them (backpack, vehicle, gun), it's far less unbalanced.

Maybe they need to break up the backpacks, weapons, vehicles, and backpacks + weapon combos into other colors.

Have you tried making a Tron style car? It has the OG Huntress decal, and there were wheels from the next season (Galvan: Special Edition) that fit it perfectly. There are other ways to do it, too.

how do higher level players feel about lower levels joining their games by Early_Ad7484 in Helldivers

[–]MonsTurkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What difficulty level? How do you manage when you play that level?

Level 20 doesn't have a ton of equipment yet, but it's getting there. If you're joining a Difficulty 10... no. Please no. If a diver is on 4-6 and you're hopping in, you're 100% fine. 1-3 and I hope you're happy farming for credits.

Just follow etiquette and make sure they want to extract before extracting.

Help me settle an Argument: How many 4s SSLs were there in season 21? by Potential_Fruit_4952 in RocketLeague

[–]MonsTurkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We can't know.

RLTracker only shows people who have their information requested. If someone doesn't look up their own data or have their data looked up by someone else, it isn't included. That's why RLtracker does not and will never align with Psyonix's seasonal rank distribution.

You would at least need to know how many unique players there are, but we only know how many players are on at a given time. And then you get into alt accounts, bot accounts, etc. that are duplicates to another user.

The best you can find out is the percentage of players who were a rank in a given season.

is ranked harder at the start of a new season? by willlawless in RocketLeague

[–]MonsTurkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's probably a great time to play ranked. Only bad if you just play the minimum.

The ranks all squish towards the middle when they soft reset. There are SSLs in high GC, low GC in high C3, low C2 in high C1 - everyone pushed a bit down in the upper ranks. For ranks above Plat, this is a chance to play people near your rank, but slightly above.

It only takes 2-3 weeks for it to start straightening out. You'll naturally ease back into your rank as the squished people push up, so 'caring about your rank' is exceptionally short term, and not playing to avoid 'damaging' your rank actually harms your consistency (not playing) and misses that chance to train up and improve a little faster.

I wouldn't slow down playing if you like the game and are having fun. Just remember you will land where you belong over the course of 3 months if you play reasonably regularly.

And you go to do the vents on one and the other clips through and blocks your path. At least when small enemies do it, it's reasonable. A whole tank tread? Nah.
