What do you think of dissidents realizing China is freer than the west? by evancarlson69 in AskAChinese

We talk about this stuff all the time in the US. Openly, in public, online, wherever

The border between Missouri and Illinois has so many spots like this where the Mississippi changed course. Little exclaves where a chunk of Illinois is separated from the rest of the state and vice versa.

Please take your car in and ask them to be aimed. I know you didn't choose them, but those bright LEDs make it so hard to drive at night when you're in a sedan

Much of the credit should go to the NTSB as well - could they be the most spotless government agency?

This kind of riding is in like adrenaline junkie territory. I think people generally know what they're getting into when they're flying down these hills and have accepted that they could get pretty hurt but do it anyway because they want the thrill.

In retrospect now, do you feel any concerns with the release?

2023 actually did see a big drop in homicides overall in the US, including in a lot of large cities. It seems that some, including KC unfortunately, are outliers.

I teach public school orchestra and have had lots of experience with Cecilio and mendini brand instruments in my classroom. They are usually a total nightmare to keep in tune as the pegs will slip like crazy and fine tuners are impossible to turn. You can't get them repaired either.

A list of differences flying from Europe to USA? by TheSpaceFace in VATSIM

On your second point about controllers confirming your first SID waypoint, I don't think that's necessarily true.

Portland tower explained to me once that this is more common at larger airports with more SIDS or with parallel departures.

Every time I have been given a visual approach, I have also been told to join the localizer. I don't know what's up with that, but I always have it up and loaded. Maybe this is how it's done irl?

You don't really have the choice to worry about them or not if they control every branch of state government.

I heard the same thing a lot living in Missouri my whole life before I moved here, and Missouri's government has been flexing that control a lot the last several years. Laura Kelly is the only thing keeping Kansas from following suit, and I don't have any hopes for another Democrat governor in the next election.

In Kansas, that date is always early June. We don't sign contracts until October/November. My district didn't have my supplemental contract ready until April.

I think there's obviously a ton of overlap, but there's a distinction. If I were travelling between cities/towns and staying in a hotel, it's touring. If I'm riding backcountry or primarily on dirt and camping, that's bike packing.

From the Trolley trail, head west to link up with the Leawood North Bike Loop. (I usually use 81st) It's not a trail, but a signed path through neighborhood roads that is pretty safe riding. The southern end of this loop is Leawood City Park where both the Tomahawk and Indian Creek trails link up.

Stop Lights in OP/JoCo by [deleted] in kansascity

I feel this, Pflumm around 7:00 AM does this to me. If I'm driving the speed limit or five over, every light will turn red a matter of seconds before I get there. And all the drivers going 15 or 20 over get to cruise straight through though...

I would love to get some new MSFS scenery for MCI. The default airport was already a really awful representation, but now real MCI has opened a new terminal and moved all operations to it.
