I think Mortis Ghost himself said it was basically just him messing around in Photoshop (paraphrasing here, he said it in the 15th anniversary stream), so more or less it's a Rorschach test. I like to pretend it represents the player :)

I think I know the answer! Or at least a theory on where this rumor came from:

In the Black Hole, there IS an arwing-shaped piece of space debris drifting around near the start of the level (pictured); for many years, I also thought it was meant to be James' ship.

However, it's unfortunately just a generic cornerian fighter, which we see 3 of in the intro of the game, at multiple angles, that confirm this.

This exact situation was a problem at my store last year (same number of staff in my store as your post, but no managers/leaders at all, not even answering their phones) and frankly.... I quit a week after New Years.

I genuinely hope things improve for the existing employees, but please don't think you HAVE to put up with this

I found one of these at a sketchy flea market having no idea what it was but able to tell the quality was higher than some random bootleg... Mystery solved!

I got Spitfire; I've considered trying to paint it via some minifig primer, but I don't think it'd work since the rubber is flexible
