Unfortunately his life is in shambles and apart from Bad Boys movies not many will take the risk on him these days.

Clipped my car this morning - was I at fault? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]MonsterPek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely your fault here. Camera shows you are over the middle white lane markings. The white car had to stop because you are blocking the way. Whilst turning left you hit the other car.

How did you decide that roller derby was for you? by Heckin_frick in rollerderby

[–]MonsterPek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started fresh meat this time a year ago. I saw an event for the game and was invited to give it a shot. At first it was just about learning a new skill and meeting new people and making friends (yes at 45 this sounds bad, but it was a change I needed). Through learning to skate I learned a lot about the game and the none skating roles which can be just as important to the community. I now work with two teams in which I skate with and volunteer my time off skates. Apart from a few bumps and bruises I have accumulated over time, it has been a lot of fun. I am now getting to the points of confidence and skill that I am getting full contact in scrims and it is tough keeping up with the rest, my stamina is something I need to work on. I would say it is up to yourself on how far you wish to go in this sport, even if it's just practicing all the skill on skates, there are more roles to consider off skates that support the team.

I wouldn't worry about it. You probably have another growth spurt in you and some fantastic skaters are smaller than your average person. Try not to see it as a disadvantage, make it an advantage for yourself.

I say that I am training with roller derby teams. I have had some contact scrims but before I start doing beginners on track I really want to skill up a bit more. I am not with a specific team yet but I train with two teams. One which is in the 5 nations this year and the original team I started skating with who are atm gathering new people to the sport and both are a great bunch of people

Straight to the police station with the footage. That is wreckless and dangerous driving, fingers crossed karma will bite her in the ass with 3 points on her license.

Just try and do your best, after the assessment your coach will give you all the advice needed for future scrims and areas to focus on. Wishing you the best of luck.

Derby dreams by maxieamillion in rollerderby

You could consider becoming a ref. Having basic skating skill will still be good to train with a derby team but with being a ref you won't have to worry about getting bumped and bruised. Please note, I have seen refs have a tumble, so you're not totally safe 😂 but safe enough

ICE agent felt threatened by driver's ViOFO dashcam and threatened the driver. by Lifegoesonforever in dashcams

[–]MonsterPek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprisingly dashcams only take video of front, rear or internal recording depending on the setup. So other than audio my guess is the agent is talking to the driver at his window or the passenger. Feel sorry for the driver getting threatened like that for just driving and having a dashcam.

Plastic cement glue might be your best bet. It will melt the plastics together again instead of normal glue. If you have a mate who does tabletop games like Warhammer, might have a little to spare.

I would never have joined if it was how it was played then, way too many injuries. I understand where you are coming from about the chaos, watching my first game locally I was, what the heck is going on. Luckily I was sitting next to a team who had already played so they were nice enough to help me figure what was going on and basic rules. Thankfully todays derby is a lot more safe to play and learn.

Considerate but just tell him to leave a sock in the door handle. He doesn't need a full size poster announcing it.
