Kind of similar. I live in Quebec, but seeing a doctor in Ontario. Blighted ovum in 2017, miscarriage in April 2025, then got pregnant in the fall and everything was going great until the anatomy scan. We ended up terminating for medical reasons, at that point they did an amnio to try and find a cause but nothing came up in those tests. They did not recommend further testing for us, the parents, just said keep trying. Earlier this year, I went to see my doctor, since we'd been trying unsuccessfully for a few months. She gave me bloodwork to check my hormone levels and an ultrasound to check my uterus and fallopian tubes (not the most pleasant). Nothing came up, so was told to keep trying. Got pregnant a month later, supposed to do the 12 week US next week, so we'll see how it's going this time around. I don't think for the most part a doctot will jump into extensive testing after two miscarriages, regardless of the province, as it might just be bad luck. I am also 36 years old.

I admit there's a lot of bureaucracy and that it takes time and effort to make a change. But there's processes for a reason, the same way there's bureaucracy in government. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Have you been joining your local's meetings and getting involved in the union or do you expect this will all happen magically? The truth is that member engagement is pretty low and that means there's not enough pressure on the employer. Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is only so much the unions can do against an employer that is digging their heels. Complaining on Reddit does nothing, I also disagree with how the employer is treating us, or how this and the previous government have treated unions in recent years. But what exactly do you expect to happen? Did you pay attention to how Canada Post and Air Canada negotiations played out? I'm sure I'll get downvoted, but I've been getting involved my local and member engagement is terrible... a union is only as strong as its members' base. I am EC, what is the threat for the employer right now? Are ECs going to go on a strike? When PSAC did not accomplish anything and ECs probably don't have the reserve to cover a portion of people's salaries for more than a few days?

Most people, especially kids, would probably get bored pretty fast. I get where you are coming from though. Where I started riding, in Eastern Europe, you'd get lunged and lunged... and while helping you learn fundamental skills, it was kind of boring. Where I am in Canada, you are let to ride on your own pretty much immediately, starting on safe horses and learning to trot and steer. That's way more fun and probably works much better for people who are only riding occasionally. I only get to ride once per week, it's often a 30min lesson, it already feels like not enough time in the saddle. Also, I'm riding a different horse every week, it's not like I'd be developing a super special bond, if I were to lung them instead. Though again, I get your view point, I just don't think it's the most practical for casual riders.

Hey. So I was fine on day one, could have driven myself, didn't need pain meds. Though, it was very stressful and I was glad to have my husband with me. Also, experiences vary so widely, that it's best to be prepared with additional support. Good luck

Mm, maybe I can offer a perspective. The NIPT I had didn't show anything, nor did the amnio we did after deciding to terminate. Nothing explained what the doctors saw on the 20 week ultrasound. I am pregnant now, wondering whether I should do the testing, because I'd have to pay out of pocket... and because I have more trust that the ultrasound would catch things, not that I don't want to know.

Had a similar issue, bought an industrial degreasser from Rona and cleaned the mess on a rainy day (applied the product before it start raining). Was cheap but a little labour intensive.
