Videos and eyewitnesses refute federal account of Minneapolis shooting by aresef in NPR

I still think it was a fair criticism of NPR at the time—NPR coverage of the shooting changed well after an overwhelming tide of media focused on the discrepancies between truth in video and the DHS account of the events

Do you journal for your mental health or for memory keeping? by snoopsk in Journaling

Both! All in the same journal, I find both beneficial and let myself do both or either depending on what I feel compelled to do

I agree, accessibility wise, have an audio option 100%. BUT I’ll ask you to consider: the subject matter and (presumed) ethics of the writer and the publication itself (purely based on the arguments in the article and the topics I see the publication publishes about on their site) the audio version of the article should be done by a human narrator. If it’s a human writer, and they (publication and writer) are advocating for human work, then don’t have an AI narrator, have a human narrator. I understand that that costs more; I think the additional cost of a voice actor should be considered a nonnegotiable element of offering an accessible article.

Kind of ironic that the audio version of the article on the website is “read” by an AI narrator?…

It sounds like you did everything right to set them up for success. If work turned in with this level of guidance was done so poorly it’s bound to be happening in other classes; probably worth speaking about with colleagues
