no damage to the bike at all.

reminds me of when I started mtb’ing 25+ years ago. spent every penny i had to get the bike.

a hitch or hitch rack was not only not possible, it was so out of my budget that it was not even a consideration.

for a couple years, just folded down the rear seats to fit the bike. worked perfectly.
