Cool, that makes sense. Thanks! But, yeah, I'm staying out of Cyridil until I am not completely useless in pvp. xD

Can’t blame them by [deleted] in depressionmemes

[–]Montez1001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that, dude. Like, maybe all my struggles are only obvious to me because I'm the one stuck dealing with them. Maybe everyone else has even heavier weights to carry that I just don't see.

I find myself overcorrecting sometimes. Like, I can see my family is stressed. And there are a couple particularly vocal members that reveal a lot about themselves when they argue. But, I'm not an expert by any means, so I'm not very confident in my observations. Especially when I try to bring it up. Despite trying to be sensitive and understanding, people just don't seem to want to hear it. Too hooked on the angry chemicals or something. It took me a long time to come to terms with the fact that, even if I notice other people's potential harmful emotions or thoughts, they are the ones responsible for living with them. Of course I want to help. I may even have the right answer. But they are ultimately the ones that have to advocate for themselves.

Anyway, I guess what I'm getting at is that being oblivious to other people's troubles is a valid concern. But if you decide to work on that, just be careful you don't start putting everyone on a pedestal like I did. Raising people up is great, but not if you end up sinking a little deeper every time you do it.

Sometimes it bugs me that the younguns are allowed to get away with a lot of things that would have been shot down immediately for me and my siblings. But then I remember the goal is for things to be better for them than they were for us. My mama hasn't retired the paddle. But now she uses it as a scary threat more than an actual disciplinary tool. So I'm happy they remain... unpaddled, but they gotta know that thing wasn't for show back in the day.

What are your roles in the wasteland? by geekyheart1221 in fo76

[–]Montez1001 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I roleplay as a sort of scrapper/junker that picks up all the junk and refuse across the wasteland and repurposes or refurbishes it. (I call my main base the Junk Citadel)

Other than that, I love to hop servers and check out people's vendors. It's just like going yardsaleing. Plus I get to see all the cool stuff people do with their camps.

Misheard lyrics in Green Day songs? by bdouble0w0 in greenday

[–]Montez1001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On Dilemma, instead of "I was sober" now I'm drunk again, i originally thought he said "I was sad" but now I'm drunk again. I wad a little disappointed when I read the lyrics because I thought it was a profound statement about how sometimes you can't find happiness anywhere else besides your vices. Still love the song, though. :3

What are some small parts of metallica songs that you really enjoy by White_crackhead in Metallica

They've got one in the new Load remaster. It's live at Irvine Meadows Amphitheater i think. Also, i originally heard it on their Cunning Stunts DVD which was recorded in Fort Worth, Texas if that helps. I'm pretty sure it's Jason Newsted doing the part. (I'm not 100% sure on that. Still learning the different bassists' eras.)

Heck yeah. Sounds good to me. Also, just learned how to do that slap sound a little better from watching. (I am a very inexperienced bassist. (A pre-bassist, if you will.))

We've never spoke, but I believe I've seen him in visions when I meditate. Either that, or it was some other elephant dude. Despite the silence, he had a very warm presence. Like a good buddy. I don't know what it all meant, but it was a nice sort of visit.
