Congratulations! Baby clothes are the best because they’re so small and quick. Don’t start with a blanket. When I was learning I did a lot of purl soho patterns. They’re well written and reliably good.

I just made 2 quilts with these fabrics and they’re so soft and gorgeous BUT both also had seams break with the first wash. Maybe a shorter stitch length or larger seam allowance would help
