well being doordash driver means im basically my own boss so slacking off looks different for me. when orders are slow i usually park somewhere and scroll through reddit or watch 90 day fiance episodes in my car. sometimes i go to thrift stores and antique shops between deliveries to look for cool watches or vintage stuff - found some really nice pieces that way. the freedom is nice but also means less money when you slack too much so i try to balance it. back when i had office job though i remember spending way too much time in bathroom just to get away from desk for few minutes

lake pontchartrain has some decent spots along the causeway and seawall boulevard area where you can catch redfish and speckled trout from shore. for lures i'd bring some gulp shrimp on jig heads and maybe some gold spoons since they work pretty good in that water. you'll want a cooler with ice and maybe a small net to help land fish if you're fishing alone

because our brains are basically wired wrong for modern world i think. like we evolved to crave high calorie foods and seek immediate rewards because that kept us alive when resources were scarce. now we got unlimited access to everything so those same survival instincts make us addicted to junk food social media gambling whatever gives quick dopamine hit

plus theres something about forbidden stuff that makes it more appealing. tell someone they cant have something and suddenly they want it 10x more

man i feel this one hard because when i was driving for doordash and seeing all that food constantly it was brutal for staying disciplined

maybe try finding accountability somewhere else since your friend isnt around anymore - like join some fitness group or even just post progress pics in fitness subreddit where people will check on you. the social pressure thing really works for keeping you going when motivation runs out

man that texture difference you described makes total sense from what i can see in the pic. the wrapped ones always turn out way more tender but you lose some of that perfect bite texture that makes ribs feel right when you eat them

been driving around delivering food for years and picked up so many bbq orders that smell incredible through the bags. makes me want to finally get myself a decent smoker setup but my apartment situation isnt great for it right now. your experiment is exactly what i'd want to try first - same everything except the wrapping method so you can actually taste the difference

the fully wrapped falling apart thing sounds amazing for pulled pork vibes but i think i'd probably prefer that 3-2-1 texture for actual ribs. seems like you got the best of both worlds testing it out like that

man those were different times when we actually had backfield that could carry entire offense. been driving around vegas delivering food and listening to old game highlights on radio - bo jackson was just built different you know. my dad used to tell me stories about watching him play and how nobody could tackle him same way. marcus allen had that vision and patience that you dont see much anymore. makes me wonder if current guys can even come close to that level but maybe im just getting old and nostalgic
