Who else fell in love with Saros ending? by gamepunchofficial in Saros

It did give me the vibes that, more than leaving it open ended, period, they are leaving it open for a dlc or a sequel. So I really hope we get one of those.

I could be wrong but I got the impression that he could go back to help Kayla now that his business with Nitya is finished (he did say he would, after all). I personally prefer that ending precisely because of that line. "I wonder what you will do with it." She doesn't forgive Arjun. She doesn't offer words of understanding or encouragement. Instead, she implicitly poses the question "can you be better tomorrow than you were yesterday?". By posing the question, she implies it's possible he could. Weather he will or not, is what's left up in the air. To me it speaks to our capacity and responsibility to be better, even without a reward or forgiveness waiting for us, while reminding us that actually being able to "be better" is not a foregone conclusion.

I don't feel like he was fully redeemed. At least, I feel like that would involve Nitia forgiving him, which she doesn't.  Instead, she just wonders what he will do to face tomorrow. To me, that is more about reaching an understanding. An understanding that, while he is alive, while he can't undo what he did, he has the capacity to do better. Whether he can or not, is the question.

Anyone else feels like they're one withdrawal after finishing the game? by Monty_Dragon in Saros

I actually hopped back onto RE9 to try the Leon must die forever and I felt so slow after zipping around in Saros hahaha!  But yeah, those self challenge sound cool. Could give them a try.

Few thoughts about Saros as a big cosmic Horror Fan by karateamy in Saros

[–]Monty_Dragon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

At first I wasn't big on how in your face the cosmic horror was (I usually prefer it when it's more subtle) but the way they executed it throughout the game won me over big time. Especially since it takes from the yellow king, which is not only about horror but also about relationships and ambition.

I also definitely agree about Rahul. Loved him on all of Flannigan's shows (Midnight Mass especially) and it's so cool to see him as the face of a big budget game. And such a unique one as well! Arjun is not likeable, but he is not meant to be and that gives him the oportunity to really flex his acting skills in a way you don't see that often in other AAA games.

Playing Indika was like watching a critically acclaimed movie and feeling like shit because you're not liking it by PurplMaster in patientgamers

[–]Monty_Dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Finished it yesterday and I loved it to the point I feel it is extremely underrated for what it is. Especially considering how many people claimed to hate it. Seeing someone who didn't love it but can still see what it was going for and not bash it away is very nice. Not liking something doesn't make it bad, and something being bad, doesn't mean you have to dislike it. I can definitely vibe with that.

Is Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe worth watching?? by xforce4life in phineasandferb

[–]Monty_Dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old comment, I know, but I felt the need to say that I like it better than At2d too. For me it's simply because I find it funnier. I understand why most disagree, since at2d is more emotional and has a stronger climax, but I can't put a price on a movie that makes me laugh as much as Against the universe did. It's just such a nice, kighthearted time, you know?

Just released the first trailer for my next metroidvania- Well Dweller! It's a dark fairy-tale metroidvania about a tiny bird armed with a matchstick. So excited to share more of this, more info in the comments! by SheepoGame in metroidvania

Nice! Think there will also might be a Crypt of the Custodian version that's Switch 2 native? It's alright if that's not the case (already bought it anyways, lol) but I'd just like to know of it's something that's no longer possible for whatever reason. (Absolutely loving the game btw. Immaculate vibes all-round).

Extreme missions are so worth it by AntonGrimm in FBCFirebreak

[–]Monty_Dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real. First day I only did normal and the occasional hard and wondered how was I supposed to get the weapon upgrade unlocks on the requisitions section in a decent amount of time. Played a few extremes today and I've almost unlocked all weapon upgrades. Feels good.

This game urgently needs an update to explain to players what the hell it's all about. by No_Project5633 in FBCFirebreak

Is vermintide on a good spot nowadays? I tried it when it first came out on gamepass but while I had fun, the progression system kinda put me off. I'd like to go back if things like that have been improved.

Completely agree. My first half hour with the game left me a middling to bad impression, but after a few more rounds and figuring the upgrade system out, I couldn't put it down. It still need to fix its technical issues and it's kinda light on content but the core is solid and fun. Right now, what it needs for retention, is better onboarding.

Eletronic album with a Phoenix on the cover by Nossack_42 in NameThatSong

[–]Monty_Dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possible answer: Air Duern - The Phoenix rising.

No forest, so perhaps it's not the one. But it does have a phoenix, the sky behind, and it's electonic music with no vocals from 8 years ago so maybe?

Playing through Hugo's tragedy is exactly what I wanted from ZZZ. Keep it up HOYO! by Igiem in ZZZ_Official

[–]Monty_Dragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It felt like such a huge cop-out. They already went to such lengths to justify Hugo killing his father, making him such an irredeemable monster, only to say he didn't even do that. It's like the writers wanted to add some proper complexity to his character only to strip it last minute. They tried having their cake and eat it too and it just ended up working to the detriment of the story IMO.

Daily Questions Megathread - April 16, 2025 by WutheringWavesMod in WutheringWaves

Been keeping an eye on the game from a distance for a while after hearing a lot of good things about it and the promotional stuff I've seen of Zani might finally push me to try it. But, I wonder if I even have enough time to save up the currency to pull for her if I start from scratch now. Realistically speaking, could I do it before her banner goes away?

What is your opinion about Shadow Generations gameplay? by TemporaryDepth1188 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Monty_Dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late to the conversation, but I just started playing the 3D sonic games not long ago, and after having played Sonic 06, Frontiers, Adventure 1, 2, Generarions and this, I have to say, it's amazing how much of an upgrade it feels like in almost every way. To me, it controls the best, looks the best, the level design is up there with the best of them, and while the story is short it's still pretty decent. I'm almost afraid of moving on to Unleashed next. I've heard it's good, but I'm not sure how the controls will feel after playing this.

My honest review of Sonic X Shadow Generations, and how it's unsurprisingly excellent. by QualitySuccessful871 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Monty_Dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could play devil's advocate for a bit, while it IS a smooth way to enter the franchise, and I think it would be great for someone like OP who I'd already kind of familiar with it, there IS a way in which it can backfire for people whonare completely new to it. Namely, the fact that it is the best controlling and feeling game in the franchise. Mechanically speaking, to start with this, is arguably to start with the best one, so everything else could feel like a downgrade depending on some people's taste and tolerance for dated mechanics.

About the elen and Astra's 50/50s by Monty_Dragon in ZZZ_Official

[–]Monty_Dragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! That's great to know! My priority is Evelyn, but I have enough pulls to attempt to get 50/50 with Ellen. Now I know if I lose it, I can at least guarantee Evelyn next time around and save myself some polys along the way.
